We've already discussed all of our conflicting feelings about this scene in 2x22. I will always wish we had gotten a pure apology from Mary, and a better redemption arc for her in general after the mess of S2. But I liked this part of Mary's speech. "Because I love you."

And we don't even have to mention Francis and his heroic forgiveness... He's so strong and amazing and AHHHHH. Anyway...

It felt so wonderful to hear Mary tell Francis that she loved him.

It was something we all needed to hear so desperately - again and again.

Aw, I really love what they are doing with their hands in 18 (especially Francis), I was going to vote 17 or 10 (because for me, the first one is about the proposal and the second one is about their first make out, rather than what their hands are exactly doing), but having all that said, I think I am able to let it go, but I must see other votes to decide for certain.

Ugh this is so painful.

I just don't think I'm ready to let go of #18 yet. I know that the scene itself is very ominous, but everything they're doing with their hands there is so freakin' ADORABLE.

The way Francis touches her like she's made of gold.

#10… God I love how they are just absent-mindedly playing with each other's hands as they're sitting there talking, and the way he gently holds her thumb and forefinger.

And then things heat up real fast.

And finally, #17... Seeing them walking together hand in hand is so incredibly precious.

But I have to agree that this scene was more about the proposal and Francis' beautiful and sincere dialogue.

So... that's why I'm going to start by voting for this moment this round.

But I will switch if necessary.

Between the two, I'm going to have to go with #18. I love the casual playing Frary does with their hands in that scene, but #17 has hand-holding while walking, and then the hand-holding while playfully running to the castle like children. The latter just has a lot I'm not ready to let go of yet

.

So #18 it is.
