I agree with that too They offer him different things & have experienced different things with him which probably add to that

I agree, it is more of a friendship relationship with Emma than mother & son. But its also something stronger because they do have the mother & son connection?

I think it's because the show rarely does domestic everyday scenes so there's less parenting moments. Season 1 Regina and Henry was really the only time we see a traditional home life in Storybrooke.
