I was noticing fics being shared in Simon's thread, and it was making it OT. We have a thread just for fan fics on TBBT, so I think that having one here is a good idea.

These aren't all my Mentalist fics, but the ones I'm most happy with. All are complete.

Blood Trail, started August 2012. Oregon Trail AU in which Jane and Lisbon are married and the other three are Lisbon's children from her first marriage.

Bloodless Bonds, written for The Mentalist Big Bang 2012 (written fall 2011). Jane wants to quit the CBI after Red John his killed because he feels like there's no purpose anymore. Lisbon helps him decide to stay.

Fire of Unknown Origin, written in the summer of 2012, in which Lisbon takes in an orphaned second cousin of hers whose parents died in a fire and gets to use her maternal instincts. Ultimately ties in with a season two case.

In Too Deep, written January 2012. Lisbon has accepted that when it comes to Jane and Red John, there is no turning back now.

Like Stubborn Red Goats, written for Mentalist Mini Bang 2013. Many fics are written where Jane and Lisbon have to share a room for some reason, and usually something romantic happens. I chose to go for humor in the same situation. This fic won the 2013 Paint It Red Award for Best Flashfic.

Red John's Girl, written early 2013. A brief history of Lorelei. I've always felt she was a younger, more naive, brainwashed version of Jane. This is introspective, taking place at the moment of her death. My summary at the start of the fic explains it in more depth.

Red Tool, written early fall 2012. In Red John's POV. The moment he tested Jane and learned something very important about him.

Redhead, late spring 2012. Van Pelt approaches Lisbon and makes a startling confession.

Stay Red, written for The Mentalist Little Bang 2013. Hard to do a summary for this one. Basically the long, slow process of Jane and Lisbon changing from friends to more, but with angst, loss, and guilt behind it, but also motivated by their bond and need for each other. Post Red John.

The Red Tetris, written summer 2012. Yes, I have written Mentalist/Tetris crossover. Read the A/N for more details.
