Agreed! And they're for the most part getting it all right on the mark. I'm finding that for the Alex/Maggie fanfics, the ones that I enjoy the most are the ones that more or less stick to canon.

That really is unfortunate! That particular fic didn't draw me in that much. I think most of the WIP fics I love from the OB fandom are being written by authors that are still writing or are pretty set on completing it, thankfully.

From the few that I've read I have to agree. Their dynamic is completely different to that of Cos and Delphine, so them meeting at school or some such just doesn't work for me. And it's not as if there's no scope for story lines within a Supergirl universe. Aliens, super weapons, bikes what more could a girl want?

I don't think I've read anything that hasn't been canon. Even the soulmate AUs and the time travel one are within the canon world. There's a lot that can be done in the SG world which is pretty nice.

Perhaps there's more AUs in the OB fic library because OB is a much more complicated universe to write in. I know it's not something I'd want to tackle with all the science mumbo jumbo.

I have no idea why it drew me in so much just that it did and then it broke my heart. And left me with the worse ending ever of separation and a Delphine pregnancy. So even if it continues it's going to be a baby fic which ugh. god why.

That doesn't work for Cophine either imo. Adult couples should never be forced to regress to teenagers because I swear that it's never in character and it's just wrong somehow. Except for Love Like Fools. That can stay. Because that's fantastic and they grow up in it so it's all good.

Exactly. With Cosima and Delphine I will pretty much read them in any scenario as long as it's written well.

Me neither. You'd either have to write about a specific situaton or you'd have to feel pretty comfortable with all the science and the espionage.

I can handle them being younger as long as they grow up over the course of the story. Plus college AUs are pretty much them in S1.

Well yeah college/Uni AUs I've no problem with but High School/Secondary are too young for them imo.

You do hate the baby fics.

They just aren't good. I mean the kids are OC's and OC's suck too.

I don't mind a couple of the high school AUS but generally the adult versions of those two are best.

I've not seen it either, so it was a bit of a double take when I discovered Delphine was a lady of the night!! Hopefully, I think they're the best of those still writing OB fanfic, previous works have all been quite entertaining.
