except Kyle!! <3 And didn't they get a writing award too in S5? But perfect example of a show never getting the deserved award attention

Isn't that the truth. I remember LOVING season four (although scratching my head at the proposal) and thinking that they had pulled off one of the best seasons I've ever seen on tv. Just the opening shot was perfection, the convo, the way they shot it and the music, soooo good. Then it all just went downhill and suddenly Megan was all over the place. Did they really need to focus that much on her? NO. Still don't. Plus they now even have her parents in the picture, oh lord.

I'm in the minority S5 was great. Megan is great. And not just her storyline, but I think how she interacted with Peggy, Joan, Don, Sally was super interesting

Just seeing Megan legitimately annoys me. So, yes, you're truly in the minority.

their dynamic is one of my favorites has been since the pilot. (they only had that short scene.) i can't remember but i don't think betty was in any of the promos for mad men before the show aired. i was pretty much hooked on amc that year...they were endless promos. the amy winehouse song was stuck in my head for the longest because of that. when don went home at the end...

now i want to watch season one again.

Thanks!

Does anyone think there's any chance of Don getting back together with Betty in the upcoming season?

I would love that. I would absolutely love it. Mainly for shallow reasons, lol. But story-wise? I doubt it. Betty seems to be content with what she's got. And has managed to get past the bitterness where she and Don can co-parent without being hostile to one another. I really don't think she's envious of Megan at all anymore. Don is her problem now.

I see what you mean. It would be interesting if Don confided in Betty about his work situation (how they made him take time off), and then maybe that might bring them sort of closer together.

I'd just like to see more interaction between them, even if they don't get back together.

Me too. They got to a good place last season and I'd like to see that continue.
