That I do. I'm not that good at communicating in RL. I'm better at writing out my thoughts and I'm a visual learner so I observe a lot and pay close attention to details and because I read so much I just use those skills to read between the lines and make my own conclusions when it comes to television.

Understandable view point. I have read and seen in interviews though that cast members have done their research and they say that usually when a regular partner leaves the partner left behind usually becomes the lone wolf. They circulate other partners for a while but for the most part the partner still there is a loner, an outcast which is what we're basically seeing from Liv at this point.

That totally works for me. Again it's relatable. We've seen how Liv says she's been alone her whole life on a personal level so it's nice to see that lonliness transfere to her work life. That's how it is for me- I'm alone more than 98% of the time and then when I do go to school or am surrounded by others I still feel that sense of being isolated from the rest of the outside world.

I'm really liking how they have Liv this season (13)

Cool. Might have to wait on it a bit but hopefully I'll get it sometime in November.

Loads of practice. I use photoshop and some online photo editors. Eventually you get better at it.

Totally. I love getting invested in the characters. It's nice to take a step out of ordinary life and just emerse yourself in these other worlds and be apart of it. And it helps when you have such strong characters that feel as if they're in your own life.

Sorry that i haven`t been posting here lately. I`ve been busy at some boards here.

I absolutely love your latest artworks. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. I hope that you`ll do an Alex/Olivia artwork soon, preferably from the classic scenes in Loss where Liv was tending to a wounded Alex and their goodbye scene toward the end.

Also i enjoyed the last episode. TR Knight delivered an excellent performance as the twin brothers that were at the center of the case. Can someone tell me why he doesn`t have his own show yet?

Yeah TR was amazing in Wednesday's episode. I was very impressed. He's come a long way from the bubbly George O'Malley.

Thanks. These two, Calvin & Olivia, were my favorite. Seriously, Liv deserves to be happy. She deserves a son like Calvin. I'm looking forward to them reuniting. I just hope that Calvin doesn't hold any resentment toward Liv.

I've been looking forward to tonight's episode for nearly 5 weeks

Yeah I tend to get really involved with the characters too and pay close attention to what's going on. Sometimes maybe I get a bit too involved but I can't help myself really. I've always been this way. Ever since I first started watching soaps/procedural dramas years ago. I like how much I get involved!

Okay well I'll just have to see how I go as the series progresses. S13 has started in the UK now so I'm eager to see how it's gonna progress for Olivia. To see all the eppys you guys've seen and experience the things you've already seen Olivia and co. experience.

It's cool that the cast've done research. But again just because it's reality and no matter how well Mariska is playing Olivia atm. still doesn't make it easy (I think) for me to watch and experience Liv being so down and angry all the time.

Really. Nice? I disagree. That was always what was the great thing about Olivia's job, different, positive and everything - that her work was always the place where Olivia had the good friends and colleagues and support!! She had the assurances that she was really good at her job and she enjoyed it you know! She had a strong support system and what's the most important is that she was never alone at the police station. She found a family through working in the SVU and that's something that's really important to her! Now to have lost the one of those "family" members who she was the most close to... I mean she lost her Mum and we all know about her Dad and then Simon and now Elliot. I don't think it sounds nice to see her being all lonely at work like she is (maybe) at home etc. as well at all. Sorry if I'm being a bit short there and maybe I've misunderstood you but I just don't understand your use of the word "nice" there. Anyway... I mean I know that Liv's still not alone now and I know that Munch, Fin and Cragen all love her too and desperately want to be there for her as well and Casey and Alex of course. But on the other hand I know that Elliot was very important to her. She loved him! She really valued him. She needed him. And now she really really misses him, which was completely inevitable. I just feel like I wanna give her a great big *sniffle* But at the same I know that she has to move on and let Cragen and everybody be there for her to support her at this time. It's kinda complicated and it's difficult and upsetting and everything but that is the reality for Olivia atm I feel.

Umm... I don't know yet. Maybe I'll come back in here as the series progresses for me to say how I'm feeling/enjoying the show as S13 goes on. Would that get confusing for you guys? I'd quite like to seeing as how I've just been saying a bunch of things recently and not having the facts and things to back it up. But I wonder if I'll feel different when I've actually seen Olivia's progress through the episodes as you guys have and seen the actual footage of that line that's the title of this thread and things. What do you guys think about me coming back in here to talk about S13 at UK pace? It airs on Sundays here. No that'd probably interfere with the discussions you guys were having about US pace wouldn't it? Oh Well I just didn't want to watch the whole series on the internet because I knew it was coming to the UK soon plus it's better on the TV and it's often such a faff on the internet. Well let me know what you think anyway. If you think it could work then great but I'd understand if you said no.

Yeah exactly! When you find the right show it's great and you go on a journey with it and the characters over the years and it's just awesome!!

I like your Alex/Olivia arts too! Can't say as I'm a shipper at all but I can kinda see why people might ship them more than I can see why people would (romantically) ship Elliot/Olivia. I hope that makes sense.

I'd read some things and seen that there were some videos (didn't watch any) on youtube before I saw the ep. S5.04. But when I saw that one I was like 'Oh so this is what they were all talking about. I can kinda see it now'. It's kinda strange to be honest I think. I mean Olivia's straight but she does kinda seem to have that sort of connection sometimes with Alex. Hmm... I don't know if it's written in the script like that or whether that's just how Mariska and Stephanie interpret the script. I don't know...

So I just started S10 on Monday. I'm gonna try and stick to just one episode a day Tuesday - Friday for this season. So I can eke out the Elliot-ness as much as possible!

A very strong start for S10 I must say! It's all been very personal so far. Olivia was having trouble in the first episode and Elliot got himself in very very big trouble in the second ep ! I wanted to talk about that second episode actually. I've got a good discussion for us to have. Cast your minds back folks... S10 ep. 2: Do you remember: Elliot recognised a picture of his daughter Elizabeth from when she was a lot younger (now 15) on a child porn website? He was instantly completely enraged and he went to sort out the guy who'd put the photo on the site in the first place. Ringing any bells?

Now at first the audience didn't know who the photo was of and I personally thought it was a friend's litle girl and El was going to inform the parents of what had happened. Then it transpired that it was of Elizabeth and so Cragen rounded the team up to go to where the guy who ran the site worked. There they found Elliot who had beaten the guy to a pulp and was desperately trying to remove the photo from the internet.

Needless to say, and I'm sure you guys remember now that it was just really really wrong what Elliot did to that guy. Scary too in hindsight and just completely, totally unprofessional.

Well Cragen suspended him and really laid into him back at the station and Elliot very much had his tail between his legs back at the station as well. He was just very quiet and accepting in a way of what Cragen was saying to him. That was a bit out of character. Not used to seeing Elliot like that. Then when Elliot left Cragen's office Liv, Munch and Fin were just staring at him as he left. That was just very um... ... um ... not like in my avvie put it that way. I did kind of feel for Elliot for a split second then but the other 3 were just like: 'We can't believe you'. Which was completely understandable.

Well my discussion point is this: How should we forgive Elliot afterwards and move on? Because he really shouldn't have done that and just to know that that's what he's capable of, that that's what he can do if really pushed. How do we deal with that.?

Fin did say later on that he admired Elliot's restraint to not shoot the guy dead but at the end of the day Elliot didn't really show that much restraint did he?

I just don't know if I should forgive Elliot and is he still a good guy albeit a bit short and hot headed and hot tempered at times?

On the plus side Chris Meloni did do a very good job with portraying Elliot's rage and then his tail between the legs-ness and everything so that was cool!

Also which was worse - seeing as we were talking about it recently - When Olivia beat up that suspect or Elliot beating that guy to within an inch of his life? Because Olivia was all worked up about Simon but it was just completely out of character for her and also it was totally unprofessional. Whereas with Elliot - He just saw red and there was absolutley no stopping him. He was completely unprofessional too but there was kind of more of a reason for him if I can use the word reason. With Olivia, she was just angry about what Simon'd apparantely done but with Elliot that was his daughter on a porn website so I can't decide.

Anyway have a good one tonight although I don't think Calvin's gonna be in it if that's what you're so excited about. Nice avvie btw Ron! It certainly doesn't say that Charlie Tehan is listed in the episode cast on the IMDb. It doesn't say that Charlie's even scheduled to appear in any episodes this year on the IMDb when you just look at his personal information. I don't know if that means they've scrapped the idea or just decided to do it next year or what. That line about Calvin in S13 that somebody posted did say "around ep. 5" didn't it? I did kinda think that if Calvin comes back but Liv has to say goodbye to him again that's just gonna set her even further back isn't it. So maybe TPTB have decided to bring Calvin back when Olivia's feeling a bit better and a bit happier again so she'll be able to say goodbye again without taking 200 steps back. Anyway enjoy tonight and I'll be back later on. Looking forward to our discussion!

Right now here is my review for last night's episode:

Guest Star.

Calvin: Okay so I’ll admit that I was a bit disappointed that we only had two short scenes with Calvin. I was expecting at least one more. Given the case I was expecting to see Liv on the phone talking to Calvin or have her see him and the two of them have a nice moment with Liv hugging him or something.

I won’t complain too much though because the important thing is we got Calvin at all. They could’ve gone the whole season without bringing him back and it would’ve been as if he never existed and the two moved on with their lives but it’s clear that the end of ‘Rescue’ wasn’t the last for these two and that they have been keeping in touch. It says something about the grandparents and how they want Calvin to be happy.

Still one can only hope they bring him back again.

Regular Cast.

Olivia: I’m really running out of things to say about this spectacular woman. Seriously she is badass to the extreme. I always love when she interviews the perps. And the way she was with Calvin was great as always. It really felt like they’ve continued a relationship off screen which is good.

One thing is for sure it’s clear that though she still misses Elliot she’s doing what she can to move on. She wasn’t as hostile this time around. She was even sympathetic toward Amaro when he couldn’t handle it at the ME’s office and even told him to spend time with his little girl because of how the job can be.

It was a good change from how we’ve seen her the past 4 weeks but still I expect her to have a couple fall backs here and there. That’s just the way things work sometimes.

The Newbies.

Amaro: I know a lot of people see him as Stabler 2.0 but I definately think he has his own style. It may be similar to Stabler but it’s not exact. I definately like him more than Rollins that’s for sure. I’m glad that we got to see him as a dad. His daughter is cute so it was nice to see him spend some time with her.

Rollins: By this point I just can’t comment on her. She’s just there for me. She hasn’t done much for me to like her.

The Story.

-This was one intense case! It was difficult to believe both parents.

-Once Warner talked about how neither of the stories were consistant with how the infant died my first thought was “SIDS” and sure enough like 2 seconds later Warner said as much.

Final Thoughts.

-Overall a very satisfying episode. I would’ve liked to have seen more of Calvin but I’m always gonna want that so there’s no point in hashing out that major can of worms.

-We got tons of Liv this time though and an intriguing case so what more can you ask for in an SVU episode (our own dreams and wants aside).

i haven't really been watching this season, but i caught last night's ep on a whim. was definitely one of the most profound and stark episodes of this show i've seen in a long time, if ever. def top ten eps of the year of any show this year. plus, mariska/liv>>>all!

Here is my quick review:

Wow where do I start on this review? Last night’s episode was amazing.

Olivia: I loved her to bits last night. She got so emotional over the case. The ending with her and that lawyer was bittersweet especially when she said that she was starting to get really tired. Part of me wonders if this will be her last year as a detective. When Liv leaves that’s when I’ll depart as well. It’s bad enough without Elliot but if Olivia leave too that will just be the end for me.

The Case: I really loved the case last night. We knew who the suspect was but for the jury to find him not guilty was a shock to me even though I shouldn’t have been surprised. I had kind of hoped the jury would at least come back with a dead lock verdict instead of a not guilty one.

I enjoyed the fact that there was more focus on the victim and what she was going through. We got to see her fear, life through her eyes basically which is something we haven’t seen in a while.

How sad that the whole race card came up again. As much as we’d like to stray away from that it’s always gonna be an unfortunate part of society and will always be used as a defense when it comes to cases regarding different race.

Great episode. Really enjoyed it!

i agree with your whole review, liv though, man! her without el is painful. i saw bits of him in her reactions, i must admit, but it's just not the same w/o the pair of them. then again, i think her character is really worth exploring without him. it's like, when nick came up to liv and was pissed she didn't lie on the stand for him, i honestly wanted to punch him in the head. i mean, he'll never know what a straight up partner she is, but he has no right coming at her like that. el always respected that boundary of their relationship imo. sigh. i really wish i could just watch her character sometimes and see her have an hour long show revolving around her and her life. liv is the bomb, yo! lol. anyway, the way liv takes everything to heart is heartbreaking, which i kind of want to be all, wow, ellis really sees that, yet his beliefs pretty much make me want to vomit. i hope nothing happens between them beyond friendship.

the storyline itself was so damn powerful! i legit think this ep should be shown in high schools and colleges around the country. the most mind blowing scene out of the whole ep for me was the minute ali got home and actually left her door wide open like that. i mean, really? really and why? that and the way the attack was so nonchalant. scary, scary, scary! and yea, the race card aspect was annoying, but the fact that ali, whom just slept with another black man the night before should have diminished the notion that this was a racial attack versus exploiting a VICTIM'S sexuality. SERIOUSLY! i so know what liv meant when she said rape crimes need someone to bear witness because rape is such a silent tragedy, especially for how many go unreported. and that idiot who said, you should know it's basically going to be his word against yours and YOU'LL lose. yes, liv! tell that dumb ass that this woman's power and humanity was just stolen. word! i just can't even... and what's worse is that this actually exists in society today. all of it. still! =/

I totally agree. I've heard a lot of people complain about how Liv is so different now and how they don't like it but I find it fascinating because of the fact that we haven't seen her on her own like this in 12 years. I mean yeah she's done seperate work from El like going under cover and all that but the two always returned to one another. This time there is no return. There is just their seperate lives and them, particularly Liv, trying to figure out how to do the job without her better half.

I couldn't believe that Amaro had the balls to blame Olivia for wanting to lie for him. He hasn't been there long and all ready he's being a dick who wants it his way. Liv wouldn't have any of that because of the fact he's a newbie. He doesn't know her, doesn't know how she opperates. She might've lied and covered for Elliot plenty of times but there's a huge difference.

Wouldn't that be great. Let's make this the Olivia Benson show. LOL!

I don't see a relationship forming between her and that lawyer. I think he was just offering her kind of an out to do something other than the job. I didn't get any romantic vibes at all.

I know right. And then not only did they play the race card but then they ended up playing the type card. There is no gray area when it comes to race. You're either a racist or you have a type because of the person's color whom you sleep with! Either way it's a no win situation.

It's crazy at how the world works. I mean sure you can give the facts but don't be an ass abou tit. And like I said there is no gray area when it comes to race. It's pretty sad that we still live in a society like that.

Then again I'm not surprised. I mean with the history African American's have in this country I can understand why they still blame the Anglo Americans after all these years. History like that just doesn't go under the rug. Same can be said for what happened with the Native Americans, the Chinese, etc.

We can do our best to move on but old wounds as deep as those never heal.
