Ingrid and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 12 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

Thanks Cathy This board means so much to me and the thought of it closing breaks my heart, but I think it would be for the best. Lately we've been struggling to reach the minimum. Most of our posts aren't even about the show anymore, we mostly post in game threads and discuss the cast's new projects, and it feels like it's time to move on.

Oh girls Can certainly respect and understand your thought process easier to go out on a high note than be closed by count reasons

I've ALWAYS enjoyed my time on the board whenever I was around in the past Its just sadly that my mood isn't in BaTB right now where it just comes and goes

I feel you 100%. And I hate to see it go, BUT....like you said not much BatB talk happens anymore.

It really is heart breaking but its tough work keeping boards of past shows alive I applaud some boards that their shows ended 10-15 years ago

I'm sorry you feel this way . I know how much this board & show means to you Ingrid so when I saw this board come up I had to come & send love to you (you can have some love too of course Cathy )

I think part of what keeps boards for past shows alive is being able to discuss what the cast does in the future, as well as still discussing the shows. Of course some shows have larger fanbases &/or more to discuss. I've been there with two past shows & both had two short seasons & casts who didn't do all that much so it was a struggle. (& since both closed I clearly don't know the answer to keep past shows going ) You at least had 4 seasons but I can't imagine there's a lot of projects for the cast to be discussing (I could be wrong though). Then even when there is there has to be an interest for that show to keep discussing it & sometimes there's other places to discuss it which makes it harder. Its a hard place to be in, I know, & completely understand if you choose to close the board . Then Ingrid already knows how I feel about the only posting in games thing as while it may get a board through its not always the best thing & can get old pretty quickly. I know from the times that I've visited/helped out its been a wonderful board & has wonderful posters & you've done an amazing job to keep going this long . I hope you can find a way to keep your board going but if not then you have my love & support through this awful decision & process

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Like Chelle, I know the struggle of keeping past show boards going, and sometimes, closing is for the best. I do miss my Lying Game board almost everyday, though!

Thanks Chelle, that means a lot I'm honestly just grateful that we've managed to keep the board going until after the show ended. The long hiatuses weren't easy. So if the board does close I can at least find comfort in that.

Kristin and Jay both have new shows, and Nicole recently did a movie, but Cathy and I are the only ones here who watch those shows. We actually watch them together but there's only so much to discuss.

I would be so sad to see the board go. I'll be getting into my rewatch hopefully in the next few weeks, but I totally understand if you two think it's best.

Very true, you had a fantastic run & have done a wonderful job to make it this far Definitely take comfort in that, especially if you do decide to close the board

I saw that about Kristin & Jay both having shows, but I don't know that they'd generate any traffic here for them or how/if you could get others to post with you. At least you both watch them (& together is even better). I rarely had that on my boards so it'd be talking to myself about them . There may be only so much you can discuss but its at least something if you wanted to try use that to keep the board alive. But its not much & its not BatB talk which can be what you'd really like to have

oooooh noooo this is sad, im soooo sorry i havent been here.
i just started watching season 2 of mary kills people, and thought of this board to come and discuss

but i do understand how you feel. i know i will post more here if u decide to keep it open, and if not, and so greatfull for this board since it was my first board to ever post on in here after like 5 years away from it

I don't want the board to close either . I just really want to discuss the show again, so it would definitely help if you did a rewatch/finished watching the show.
