It was definitely a great moment for them. It showed that Klaus didn't care what Kol had said or done in the past. In that moment, Klaus just wanted to show Kol that he had missed him, and that he was so happy that he was back.

^ Oh, yes. Kol was expected violence from Klaus, and Klaus surprised him with a hug. I think Kol really appreciated that their brotherly bond trumped their past history of betrayals and other grievances.

I don't blame Kol for expecting violence I was expecting it so the hug was perfect

^ It really did! In that moment, the most important thing to Klaus was that Kol had been brought back/was alive. From what I remember, the peace between them didn't last very long. They butted heads only moments later.

^ Of course not. Klaus and Kol have never been as close as Klaus has been with Rebekah or Elijah have been. They have always seemed very similar to me...which tends to lead to conflicts and arguments. I did enjoy the moment of peace between them before they reverted to their default settings. =p
