Well, she was a major Clintasha shipper, so she might not like Bruce/Nat that much lol.

Did you see that article saying Scarlett, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence have an Old Man Problem?

I do get a point in the article, which points out that when it comes to actresses, they get "too old" at a different speed than actors. When a man is in his 40s, even 50s, he's still playing a viable love interest, where it's often not the same for women.
The article mentions 37 year old Maggie Gyllenhaal apparently being told that she was "too old" to play the love interest of a 55 year old man. When it comes to Bruce/Nat, the age difference isn't the reason I disliked the pairing. I don't think it made sense for either character and they both suffered in the movie for it - Bruce regresses in his character arc from the first Avengers movie, and the first time we see hints of Natasha's past and see how it affects her, it's only used as something for her to share with her love interest and have the awkward, terribly executed "monster" conversation. __________________

I liked their scenes in the first movie, too. I liked the little "relationship" they had - Natasha feeling a bit responsible for him because she recruited him, seeing the genuine good guy behind the Hulk, and the scene of her being the one handing him his things at the end of the movie when he's "free" from SHIELD again.
I just think taking it a romantic direction was a mistake. It lacked any build up because there wasn't a hint that could be taken as attraction in the first film. So all of the build up happened in offscreen land. I also didn't like the "lullaby" idea - it went against the end of the first movie with him controlling his transformation, and the "beauty tames the savage beast" thing is just so cliche. TWS is still the best movie for Nat, IMO. It opened her character up and allowed her to be vulnerable without it feeling OOC, her personal arc of realizing she was still working for the bad guys was well done, and her friendship with Steve formed so naturally on screen. I'm excited to see what the Russos do with the character going forward. __________________

Everyone is expecting the Russos to "fix" Natasha in Civil War.

She's not broken per se, it's just that so many people hated Whedon's characterization of her in AoU. Of all the complaints I've read about the movie, Natasha being out of character has been the one I have seen the most.
