Young Americans - 16 Years Anniversary - July 12, 2016

We've reached a point where I don't think it's possible for us to say anything during these celebrations without repeating ourselves. This board shouldn't still exist, and nobody should even remember a show that ran for barely two months that one fateful summer sixteen years ago. And yet, here we are.

to everyone that has helped us to get to this place, be it with one post or one hundred. You are all a part of this board and we would not be able to do any of this without you. We're so incredibly proud of our tiny little community for continuing to stay an active, positive place year after year, celebration after celebration.

Let's keep going for another year, shall we?

Wow I can't believe it's been that long. I've seen clips of the show (mostly b/c of Ian) & I still can't get over how young everyone was. If this show was on today it'd probably have a better shot of staying on.

Everyone was basically a baby when this show was made...

and yes, I agree, but I guess we'll never know how it all could've turned out differently if the show had been given a chance

The fact that you chose the icon I was literally gonna use until I changed my mind at the last second pretty much says everything there is to know about us as mods and friends

What's wanted, I think, is something from Bella's "Sweet Sixteen" birthday party at Friendly's at the close of episode 7. I thought of getting you a picture of Bella's pink birthday cake, but I prefer this, and I hope you may, too:

Ah, more than that, Anja: Young Americans itself shouldn't have existed. It's a wonder that Antin wrote something that deep, that he found first-gig actors that good, and that they were able (by innovative in-show "product placement") to fund filming it.

But when true love breaks into the world, it changes those it touches -- lastingly.
