I wasn't a mod during the first big crash, so it must've been in 2003-ish. Everything was lost, as far as I can tell? At least all the old threads/posts are no longer there. There was another crash a few years later where all the boards lost posts from the last few months or so and we all had to ~rebuild. As for thread numbers, you gotta keep in mind that, back in the day, the YA board was among the most active boards at FF, and I have no idea how many Kate threads (or Jahammer threads or any other threads) they must've gone through during the first year or so. I can't even guess. So that's why all the "new" threads are not numbered.

Two friends and me were kinda Charlie/Ryder-obsessed (some things never change

), so we gave each other nicknames that were combinations of our favourite Charlie roles...Ryder + Nathan from QAF = Rythan

We still call each other that nowadays and it's been like...six years?
