TFTNT! And IA that Emelie and Robert always bring their A Game in angsty scenes. Well, they do in all of Rumbelle's scenes. But there's something about them ripping my heart out and leaving me bleeding on the floor when there's angst that I can't get over.

OK, I'm getting over the flu, so I don't know if this is a sensible post or not, but I'm an Imagine Dragons fan. It's probably just my current mood, but I could turn a lot of their new songs into very angsty theme music for Rumbelle if I had any talent for putting together videos. That said, here's the image in my head for a Rumbelle video for one of their songs (and, no, I haven't seen the Transformers movie that used this):
Battle Cry Opening Scene: Rumple and Belle at the town line as Belle forces him over. I think you can tell where Rumple says the part about being afraid. One more time for our goal I'll let you know And all this time I've been afraid wouldn't let it show Nobody can save me now, no Nobody can save me now Rumple opening the hat in the tower. Emma and Snow don't appear in these clips. Just the stars and Rumple, climaxing on when he starts to squeeze the heart. and Happy New Year!!  I've been posting from the grave myself since their amazing scene at the finale. I don't think any couple had given us so much! They really play off each other perfectly. This is A/E's IT couple. The couple that is getting talked about since the finale, since last's winter's finale. 4b will be their journey back discovering themselves and making their way back to each other     x__________________

I agree. I think it will be awesome to see their story take off now and be centric to the arc.     x The above is an interesting parallel. I've seen arguments about why Rumple was so against going off to a new place with Milah when she asked and why he wanted to go off with Belle. That Rumple took Milah's agency away. But this is not true. Rumple was poor and unable to walk w/o crutches. Moving his home, work(spinning wheel, sheep) would not have been an easy task for someone in their financial position. Plus Milah's outright hatred for him, and abuse. How could he take her agency away when she treated him like this all the time? He was not the one with the power in the house, so no agency could be taken. I look at this parallel and see if Rumple knew that even if he and Milah did move, that she still wouldn't have been happy. The problem was she hated him, where they lived wasn't going to change that. Where as with Belle loved him, faults and all. She never abused him, wished him dead, or hated him. Even now she doesn't hate him. He made her happy, and he knew that where ever they had gone that love would have been there. __________________

Pirates were, if you'll recall, were operating fairly openly in the area. If there were a lot of refugees on the road, it's likely there were thieves on the road preying on them as well. If they'd traveled by ship to a new home, they might have been on one Hook himself attacked. They would have faced similar dangers overland. |
