Quote:
Welcome to the new OT thread Have a great time on the beach today, I love the beach Yesterday was the perfect summer day here! We went shopping, had some bubble tea (does that thing even exist anywhere else except in Germany?) and went to the beergarden in the evening, and then we had selfmade sangria Tonight Germany's playing __________________

I have never heard of bubble tea, I am now very curious, it does sound interesting.
And we've just had so much rain still, typical english summer but still having fun relaxing, just in the house instead of outside. __________________

I went to a kids musical today my two little nieces played in. They were so great, very funny, I laughed so hard Had a great time watching them . Tonight watching our Dutch team play. Don't know how I feel about that; not sure I want to watch, but I guess I have to Have fun watching Germany-Denmark and good luck to your team, Steffi! I know Scott is rooting for Danmark ; he says so on Twitter. Seems he has Danish blood (as well as some Irish, Dutch and German blood ) __________________

This is bubble tea:
It is cold tea (black, green or red, with or without milk) with jelly bubbles that pop in your mouth when you chew them. Sounds ew, but it's really tasty. Not very useful, but tasty Germany won!!! But I think they didn't play too well last night, they had so many chances and didn't turn them into goals... I felt sorry for Denmark and for the Netherlands... I didn't want Portugal to win, but they did Aw Ellen, that sounds so cute, the kids musical. I love it when kids get all excited and play in front of their families, they're so cute then Wow, sounds like Scott is quite a mixture of nations __________________

nooooo now I wanna try bubble tea!!!! it sounds delicious
congrats on Germany’s win Steffi Ellen I am so sorry your team is out of the Euro 2012 but don’t worry tomorrow i'll keep you company The situation is precarious for Italy and the prospects of advancing are weak . We are worried we have to deal with a "biscotto". Biscotto is the italian word for cookie but in soccer biscotto means that two teams are cooking something up in the kitchen that's good for them and not for anyone else . If Spain and Croatia play a 2-2 or higher draw, there is nothing we can do to advance to quarterfinals. It’s a deja-vu for us!!! Exactly the same thing happened in Euro 2004 when the Danes and Swedes gave us the cookie. (Of course no one is suggesting the Spain and Croatia will plan to play a 2-2 draw but you know all teams are aware of what it will take to advance in the championship ) I love the biscotti but only with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and even wine (have you ever tried Cantuccini and vin santo?) Anyway for today I bleed Italian azzurro __________________

Hehe, the famous bubble tea I had one bubble tea and it was really good
I thought it's popular in all countries in Europe!? so happy Germany won and that we made it to the quater finale I agree, Steffi, we had way too many chanes that we didn't turn into a goal... I also didn't want Portugal to win, but sadly they did I'm sorry that your team is out, Ellen I'll keep my fingers crossed for Italy, Catia I hope your team can make it to the quaterfinale How was your day at the beach? __________________

I had a nice relaxing day at the beach. We spent the day playing the Italian card games Scopa, Briscola and Tressette, playing biliardino (football table) and eating of course. I love love love the beach (I mean for Italians the beach holiday is like a sacred ritual ); personally I like lying in the summer sun on my beach towel (just like a reptile or a steak on a grill); but most of all I like taking a nap after lunch under a HUGE beach umbrella…. It's so relaxing to hear the sound of waves crashing along the seashore!!!!
“My” beach is good but not as good as other italian beaches… Italy has some Caribbean-like stretches with aquamarine water and ivory sand particularly in Sardegna, Sicilia and Puglia but not in my region… @Victoria No Wade, No party.... __________________

Bubble tea is really refreshing, and VERY sweet. But I am a sweet tooth, so it’s perfect for me
Spain and Italy are in the quarter finals now! I didn’t see the games, but I heard there was a situation with a possible penalty kick for Croatia which the referee didn’t see, and that the Croatian team is now protesting or something? Anyways, the last games of the pre-rounds today! It’s difficult to say how the games will end, because the Ukraine is quite strong in my opinion. I thought it would be England and France though. Catia, I LOVE the beach and your description just made me escape to one in my mind I agree, the most relaxing sound in this world is the sound of waves rolling in on the shore __________________

I'm really glad that Italy and Spain made it to the quater finals I wanted those teams to make it
It's getting interesting tonight again, but I also think England and France are probably making it to the quater finals...we'll see I agree, the sound of the waves is one of the best sounds in the world __________________

I like both salty and sweet food, but I have to admit when I'm really craving something, it's generally salty foods
Obviously I’m glad the my Italian team won and advanced to the quarterfinals even though we didn't play well yesterday I’ll leave you with something I heard today... It made me laugh In Heaven…the mechanics are German, the chefs are Italian, the police are British, the lovers are French and everything is organized by the Swiss In Hell…the mechanics are French, the police are German, the chefs are British, the lovers are Swiss, and everything is organized by the Italians I disagree __________________

I just realized that four of the big nations are already playing each other in the quarter finals! I guess Germany was lucky they got Greece, I hope they’ll win this match
Hehe, I read that joke once too. I wonder who wrote it… a Swiss, German, French, Italian or British guy? __________________
