Asena, when you say you're afraid Rose will be "the sacrifice", do you mean as in "THE sacrifice" ? Klaus needs a human Petrova doppelgänger, and I dont think Rose qualifies

But yes, I get what you mean, about her life being in danger, since most guest stars either take off or get killed off. And like you said, this season is a journey of redemption for Damon and Ian did say this a lot of times on Comic Con: "This season will be a very hard season for Damon." as in, heartbreakingly hard for him, he'll be sad and affected by a lot of things. So if he becomes really good friends with Rose, it's very plausible to believe that she'll die and it will be a blow for him, losing a person he counted on and someone he had some kind of connection to. But I hope she will stick around for a while.

No bb. I meant sacrifice as in the "friend of Damon's that the writers will sacrifice as part of his redemption process". She is not even a Petrova, the only way she works as a sacrifice for Klaus would be fulfilling the "vampire" part of the thing.

I think its more of a friendship with the sex that one time. She knows hes still in love with Elena, even if hes trying to get over it. And shes hurting over the death of her friend.

Its sorta sweet, in a twisted vampire way.

I guess Rose can fall in love with him as she really has no one else and lost the one person who mattered to her the most and she was probably in love with.

I don't see Damon falling in love with her though. He may have some problems with his other relationships and they may not show him the kind of acceptance, understanding and closeness that Rose does, but he has others in his life. And he is already in love with someone else and he is not someone who just falls in and out of love. I can see him "trying to" pursue a relationship with Rose in an effort to move on if she is willing to, but they would kind of know his heart is with someone else...
