♦ Real Steel ♦

"Real Steel" is based off a story story by Richard Matheson and an old Twilight Zone episode. The story is about an ex-boxer who becomes a promoter for robot boxing, which has replaced human boxing, and trying to connect with a son he never knew he had.

The film also stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand (played Keamy on LOST), Anthony Mackie (was also in "The Hurt Locker"), Hope Davis, James Rebhorn and Olga Fonda.

Release date is November 18, 2011.

This is the way the movie business works - movies usually come out about a year after they are filmed.

Thanks Scarlett! I guess a lot of the post-production would be spent on the special effects for the robots. Its great to know that this is considered a 'tentpole' movie.

Hugh did a short interview for Today Show Australia covering a number of subjects, one of which was RS. It's only about two minutes long and starts after Billy Connelly at about 30 seconds, not quite at the beginning. He gives a synopsis for RS, they do show a photo of Evi, and Hugh says "there's a girl" in the synopsis.
