When you're that gorgeous and photogenic, any color color would work.

I do love black on David. Especially when he rocks the dark suits. Or just David in a simple black t-shirt is pretty darn hot.

Maybe the plaid he wore at the airport? Though If I remember it was pinkish as as well.

Honestly, it's David in plaid! He looks too good in all of them. =)

I love the whole outfit in the first one, it's absolutely flawless. The jacket and the pants fit perfectly and I love the touch of red of the tie.

I love the kind of casual chic feel of the Best Buy outfit. Plus his whole appearance is just super adorable there.

His outfits in the TLG video were great, very stylish and very much him. And the pic in the lower right corner proves once again that David and short sleeves are a match made in heaven.
What I love about the Best Buy outfit, from what I can see, is that it's devoid of a tie. More casual, like you say.

That picture you mentioned in the TLG spam is my favorite too. Short sleeves are a must. He really rocks the black, like Cee says.

Jas, you are so right about David being gorgeous and photogenic and working any color.

That pinkish plaid from the airport is great, also the pinkish one from Free Radio, aka your fave David pic. He wore a lovely whitish plaid at Disney back in 2008 (I think?).

Oh yeah, this one.

Ain't that the truth!

I like that detail too. I've been watching some vids from the event and David called that jacket "a smoker's jacket" and "like he was an apprentice at Playboy". xD

Short sleeves + black = simple yet sexy.

From a surprise homecoming concert in Joplin MO tonight:

Rolled up sleeves are as good as short ones, yes/yes? I also love the black(/grey?) & whiteness plus the red tie. Bb you are so gorgeous.

Yes, I love the pop of color that the tie gives the whole thing

It's a very nice and stylish detail.

Here are a few better pics of the outfit:

Obviously it is black and white. Like I was saying in the other thread, this reminds me of the outfit he wore when he sang the NA a few weeks ago, minus the jacket. I wonder if it's the same one.

---

About tour wardrobe:

Quote:
But one thing's for sure. (Probably.) You won't catch him at a laundromat on this tour.

"I'm trying to pack for a month-and-a-half on the road. I don't want to do laundry. There's a suitcase filled only with socks and underwear and one with only tees and one with jeans."

Being a rocker, his wardrobe is uncomplicated, he said.

Source
Obviously he brought something a little more dapper too, but I'm looking forward to the t-shirts and the jeans (which are hopefully tight xD). I've missed tewer!

I'm sorry about the double post AND the cross post, but this HAS to be here too and I am lazy.

So, this happened last night at the show in Penn State College:

David did a walkabout in the audience during Declaration. His maybe-leather-awfully-a-lot-like-the-infamous-pirate-pants ripped. All the way to his crotch. xD

David cook - Dicklaration (Penn State) - YouTube

"I'm singing 'Declaration', thinking 'Dicklaration'. So this next song is actually a ballad... I'm not playing the song with pants [...]. What is the ETA on a backup pair of pants? I am exposed behind this guitar, dude. I mean, it's out. We're really gonna play that right now? I mean, I have to change guitars, but... Excuse me."

No worries, duct tape to the rescue!

David Cook - Goodbye to the Girl @ Penn State 10/9/11 - YouTube

"Duct tape can fix it. And you all get one hell of a show." xD

And of course he had the aforementioned guitar(s) for cover.

David Cook - Fade Into Me (Penn State Universtity) - YouTube

"Just trying to get through one more song without showing my junk."

After the show he exited the stage with a white towel wrapped around him.

Never thought we'd get an actual wardrobe malfunction. And we called the missing buttons during the AI finale that, all I can say now is pfft. xD

Exactly. It's just a really nice touch.

Maybe a little too tight since they appeared to have ripped.

I am really loving all the new pictures you've posted, along with vid links and quotes. I am laughing over the picture of David's pants with duct tape on it, lol.

I don't have much time to watch the videos now but I will do soon. Lots to catch up on! Why was David wrapped in a towel? Hehe.

Gosh, I've been neglecting this thread (too) badly. Re: the towel, apparently it was there to cover him up because the pants were falling apart.

David's been talking about the wardrobe malfunction incident a couple of times, the whole story is so hilarious. xD

For example here: David Cook Interview Part 1 - YouTube (@ 2:00)

Or here: David Cook Interview with Brian Douglas at the Audiogrotto - YouTube (@ 2:20)

And the quote:

Quote:
It’s an understandable insecurity as many dozen clips from Cook’s current tour with Gavin Degraw and Carolina Liar live on the site, starting from a fateful first show at Penn State, when “Dicklaration” became the newest entry to the Cook lexicon. It refers to the moment during that show when the word nerd’s brand new pants ripped from “knee to crotch” (his words) just as he getting ready to play “Declaration,” the opening track to his self-titled debut album.

“I had just bought these new pants -- wax denim, lace up the side, they weren’t cheap and I was into them -- and I just heard and felt this rip,” Cook recalls with equal part glee and horror. “I had to make a split-second decision: do I go offstage and let the band meander? I said, ‘Screw it.’ At this point, a couple thousand people know -- I’m a pale guy you can tell and I’m wearing dark pants -- so I had to inform everybody, then I went behind the lighting rig and gaffed the pants together. It was definitely one of the more mortifying things that have happened to me onstage, but I think I handled it correctly.”

Source
They were new pants so who knows why they ripped. Also, to add insult to injury he had just that day met the guitar tech who taped the pants together, way to get to know each other that closely. xD

---

In addition to the pants gate I also wanted to have this little variety of t-shirts he's been wearing to the acoustic gigs and on the tour too:

Love the purple.

Love how the green brings out the red in his hair.

Red always looks great on him.

I keep thinking of the MWK song.

The shirt says "That's the tequila talking".

This is definitely one of his most risque t-shirts. Looks great though, look at those arms.

I'll have to dig up a good picture of the blue t-shirt he wore in the Hollywood Reporter interview when I have more time.

Talks of the ripped pants incident will never not get old. So thanks for video links. "Middle of the leg, knee to crotch."

Hey, it's a memorable meeting that both of them will never forgot. I wouldn't mind being the guitar tech with a handy supply of tape!

Thanks for posting that amazing fashion spam. I love all of them. Though If I had to pick a few favorites...I like the red shirt and that last one, the risque shirt. How about you?

This is the one right? I couldn't find readily available pictures anywhere so I nabbed these caps.

Yeah, it will go down in history as one of the funniest things ever happened on tour. You're welcome.

At least the guitar tech got to know sides of the boss most employees never do. I bet tons of people wouldn't have minded being him. xD

I'd probably pick the same ones. Especially the risque shirt. Because man, the amount of arm!porn.

That's the one, thanks for the caps! I really like that shirt, that shade of blue looks great on him. But is he really a Deadhead?

ETA: Here's a nice photo of that shirt:

More t-shirt fashion, the Milwookie shirt from the Milwaukee show.

Love it.

And a better(ish) pic of the "That's the tequila talking" shirt:

Also, how about some tennis fashion from the Chris Evert Tennis Classic?

It was a great moment. Glad David took it all in stride.

I know how much you love the arm!porn. I'm looking at the latest picture you posted. Some great arm!porn in those.

Is that what Grateful Dead fans are called, Deadhead? Not sure if is. Are you a fan?

Thanks for bumping, again.

He really is rocking the fedora and the red cap there! I still prefer the beanie though.

Except this might be my new favorite. I loved them all wearing the different hats but man David is rocking that one! And I also loved that he wore it at the show in NYC, "the reason I'm wearing this hat is I don't know" (or something along those lines).

Here's another good pic of it:

And what the store that makes/sells them said about him:

Quote:
HatsInTheBelfry: American Idol winner David Cook hanging out at our Philadelphia store! Few people can pull off a top hat, but he wears it well. http://fb.me/WTHJgoyR

He certainly does.

---

Also, we need the striped sweater here, y/y?

Notice the scarf.

He looks lovely.

Noted. I'll have to find (or make) a David beanie spam in the future then.

You're killing me with these pictures again! I love love love the stripes. (I do notice a scarf/handkerchief thingy in his back pocket, nice touch)

And I adore the top hat, David actually works it and it looks so great on him. Thanks for sharing that picture, I love it.

And that fact that he's rocking the top hat, with the leather jacket, with cane is all kinds of awesome.

The striped sweater looks great on him, I love how cuddly it makes him look. I wonder what up with the scarf/handkerchief, he often has those hanging from his pocket.

I adore the top hat too! He totally makes it work with the leather jacket and the cane, it's cool and sexy, who would have thought? My new fave hat definitely.

Either to wipe off his nose or his sweat maybe, IDK.

And I do love the hat too. It's not for every day use but he rocks it.
