Why do the fans hate Lola so much? I like seeing a person of color be the main person for once.

And didn't summer reject Kyle so she can sleep with Billy so I'm not sure she should be with him. (If I'm wrong, please correct me.. I'm trying to pick up on the storyline.)

^ I don't hate Lola as much as everyone else so I don't know. lol HOWEVER, when she first came to the show she was loved and Summer was hated because of how both of them were written. The hate for Lola started when she was upset with Kyle over buying her an expensive purse. After that it's when people noticed she dislike Kyle's lifestyle so much and always try to change him and a lot of the viewers felt it became the "I love Lola" show where everyone always have to show her love or compliment her...

You are correct about that storyline! That Summer/Billy storyline was the one I am just still not over since it got brushed under the rug and Billy still pretends to be a saint and Summer trashes her mother for zero reason. But yeah Kyle wanted Summer all last year but she said she sees him as a brother because it was all about her sexually harassing her mother's then boyfriend, Billy..... and eventually SHE did sleep with him but Billy was only using her and than she became "victim Summer" because she got played. Kyle was there for Summer during that.

In general though Summer/Kyle history date back to when they were little kids which is why they are so popular. They have a lot of history.

I did see this on twitter today ..I don't know how accurate it is but it seems Lola is not that hated..LINK. And yeah, I did read about the purse situation which sounded a bit weird but I guess when one person is poor and one person is rich, it can cause certain reaction in certain people. It could also have been a way for the writers to show that she was not a gold digger.

That is crazy that they had Summer sleep with her mother's boyfriend. At that point, I wasn't watching this soap but I remember seeing music videos of Phyllis and Billy and thinking they were very very cute (I'm a fan of Gina's Phyllis. I loved her from One Live to Live).

I do feel bad for taking over beautiful Sharon's thread with this talk so ...
