THIS. They can't just fan the flames of long dead homoerotic subtext with a few shiptease scenes (which were ridiculously infantilized and ripped from any coming of age film) and claim it's the best friendship ever. They just used each other as a shallow crutch to avoid their problems. That scene in the hospital confirmed that whatever thoughts either of them had about a friendship/relationship from the beginning was just a childish experiment because they were always ~hiding. Now Franky's apparently too unstable to maintain any relationship and Mini has fully embraced giving up everything to raise a baby forever. ALSO AFTER EVERYTHING FRANKY NEVER EVEN KNEW MINI WAS IN LABOR. Was I the only one who thought it was bizarre they kept cutting between Franky and Mini scenes? At first I thought it was meant to show how they were always connected, but in the end the overwhelming message seemed to be that they didn't need each other anymore and perhaps never really ever did. Like the entire foundation for their relationship was some pyschological overcompensation to force affection that never really existed, a "lack" that was cured by fulfillment from the finale (Mini and the baby, Franky meeting her mom). I'm tearing up typing this, I'm so frustrated by the ruined potential. Not even as a couple, but as a relationship that had so much texture and heart whether sexual, romantic, or friends.

That Granky conversation/kiss was more nuanced and sincere than any scene or arc Minky or Mini/Liv was given this series.

I'll never forget these two in series 5 and how their interaction and relationship made me feel, it was just so wonderful... and beautiful portrayed by Freya and Dakota. Their characters were amazing in series 5. It was all so genuine... I think if Mini didn't have real sexual attraction to Franky, there were another ways to add new storylines to their characters, but no, series 6 was all about forcing things since episode 1. It was all rubbish.

by the end of s5, it was obvious that mini really needed and loved franky and it was because of franky mini changed from the mean bitch in episode one to the very caring and loving person in episode 8. and then the crappy s6 came along that ruined everything that made s5 beautiful.

THIS. i will always love minky, they were too damn special in s5 to just stop loving them because of this ****ty series. s6 can gtfo with its horrible and senseless crappy story lines.

seeing rich and grace in the finale was the most upsetting to me. i think what made me cry at the end was the thought of saying goodbye to the S5 gang and how horrible those charcters have been treated in S6. thanks to GL i got to see little glimpses of S5 (=a not so terrible franky for instance) so i think that's what triggered it.

GOOD JOB SKINS! at least with s4, the ratings were still good even if the series was a mess. but with generation 3, they tried to make s6 all shocking and crap and the ratings ended up being horrible. if they ****ed this generation up for the ratings, then they should be happy to know that they failed miserably. but i am pretty sure that this was all BE's evil plan so that minky wont happen. his ego was hurt after the failure of US skins and how badly the LGBT community bashed him for the tea mess he created. i cant believe they ruined this whole generation just because of one ship that the majority wanted to see happen, unbelievable!

its so awesome that s5 is right behind s1 for favorite series of skins and s6 is right behind s4 for the worst series in the post at skinsfans asking which is ur favorite and least favorite series. most people who loved s5 absolutely hated s6.

I think I speak on behalf of many Skins fans when I say that s5 is right next to s1. then I'd put s3. s6 is even worse than s4, in my opinion. I only liked Rich and Liv's episodes in s6, while in s4 I liked the first half of the season, they the Freffy **** kicked off.

definitely. actually, s5 is my favorite and then s1 for me. i fell in love generation 3 instantly and that is exactly why i hated s6 this much, because these were not the same characters we saw in s5.

yep, i also think s6 is worse than s4. at least there was katie's episode in s4, but s6 didnt even have one good episode. even liv's episode was just about alright. i would never want to watch s6 again, like not even a scene. yep, that is how much i hated it!

exactly, Katie's ep in s4 was pretty good. I also like Cook and Emily's eps. Like I said, the first half of s4 was good. With s6 is hard to find a decent ep. Liv's ep was okay, and notice that it was written by Ben Bond & BE, so BE didn't write the ep by himself. There was some useless eps, like Alex's ep. I don't know why they added that character, more of Matty and Grace alive should have made wonders with s6 instead of Liv's gay friend.
