I hope it ends up better than it sounds. Not sure how I feel about it based on the synopsis.

They used a clip of Hotch in 300 so I would think they could show him in the finale

I saw that.

Different network, but I also saw that Law and Order: SVU has been renewed for 3 more seasons, so they will have at least 24 seasons

Whatever Dick Wolf is doing works, I guess. All three Chicago shows also got three season pick-ups.
