I recently went through my shelves to weed out the books I moderately liked and know I won't read again.

First I took them to Strand to sell. I got about $7 for 5 or 6 books. What they did not buy from me I took over to Housing Works to donate. I like that Housing Works also takes advanced reader copies because they are a non-profit organization.

That's cool. I would just take them down to my local charity shop, or give them to friends who may enjoy them.

I gave a few to my friend and she wasn't that into them. So she gave one back to me and sold the others.

It's become an annual tradition to go together to sell and donate books.

A few weeks ago I donated most of my books that I wouldn't read to a charity book fest, hopefully they found nice homes to go to

I used to donated my books to library, but now, they are no longer allow that happen which that was so weird.. Even tho I have no idea what to do w/ my books bec not all the places can accept it.. Sigh..

I struggle to part with any books I have boxes of books in storage because I have nowhere else to house them at the moment.

Ugh, that is so annoying when the library says then can no longer accept books. That is why I stared giving to second hand shops.

I feel like storage is a waste because the money for the storage unit can just go to buying more books.

I keep seeing it advertised on Facebook. They have a page on their site to locate one near you or if you want to start one.

I just found one of those Little Free Libraries in town while I was out for a walk last week. It's pretty new because it wasn't there last time I walked on that street. I also saw one when I visited Woodstock, NY a while ago.

I don't have a choice at the moment unfortunately, am staying at my parents' house for a few months so most of my furniture including bookshelves are in storage. Doesn't stop me buying more books though

I located a Little Free Library near me, but am afraid of that neighborhood. I'll go with a group of friends.

I think we have something similar to that.I think you can put books on the shelf, and maybe take one. Or borrow.. I'm not totally sure.
