Leighton Meester - Chiles Stanton {CS} #19: "I don't want people to think I'm some dumb beauty queen."

The movie, a romantic drama, stars Paltrow as a popular yet troubled country singer named Kelly Canter. Canter is in a rehab facility (filmed at Barbara Mandrell’s former home, Fontanel) when she falls for Hedlund’s character, Beau Hutton, an employee at the facility with aspirations of country music stardom. Canter’s husband, James (played by McGraw), checks the still-fragile singer out of the facility to embark on a music tour. Meester’s character, country newcomer Chiles Stanton, is being mentored by James, who wants to book her as the opening act. Kelly, however, wants the spot to go to Hutton. In the end, all three go on tour together.

Limited release date is December 22, 2010.
Wide release date January 7, 2011
It was released on DVD April 12, 2011

FW: I first became familiar with Leighton Meester from her work in the film Country Strong, just around the time I was finishing the first draft of Like Sunday, Like Rain. Something about her performance stayed with me, how striking she was but at the same time so relatable on screen. She seemed to be carrying a great deal of history for someone so young. Leighton has such poise and grace, but also a certain vulnerability that escapes through her eyes.
