He likes blueberry pie, according to "Grandma's Dead" (123). Oh, and he didn't like peaches as a kid -- so no wonder he didn't want Kitty trading her mashed potatoes recipe for a peach cobbler one.

Do you think Jackie and Donna would get jealous of Red's fame?

I can totally see it happening!

Jackie: Donna, he's old! He doesn't have a right to be famous!

Jackie would absolutely say something like that.

Donna: Jackie, Red's age has nothing to do with it. Have you seen the way the man moves his hips on stage? It's like he's having a freakin' spasm. Now I know where Eric gets it from.

I had a random thought today, and for the life of me I can't figure out what made me think of it. I found it funny that neither Jackie nor Donna were good at cooking. I wonder if they would get better down the line.

I think at some point Kitty could make them to get better. I can hear her saying something about how she's not gonna live forever but her boys have to be well fed even without her being here

Yes.

Colleen, the show did tend to have patterns like that in their characters (e.g., all the alcoholic mothers). But at least Donna could bake with Kitty's help. Jackie couldn't. Eric'll get to eat some decent cookies and such. Of course, he could learn how to cook, too. He should've had lessons from Kitty.

That's true, with Kitty's help Donna could bake. Maybe she could help her learn how to properly cook as well.

Yeah, I think Kitty would've insisted. She really would be worried for Eric. But she knows Hyde can cook -- and has experienced more than once that Jackie's pretty hopeless int he kitchen, so she might give him some recipes.

Joanne and Donna should've had a bonding episode (pre-Casey or in S5). Joanne knows how to cook, too, and could've given Donna tips.

I can see Kitty not worrying as much about Jackie cooking since she knew she would have Hyde to help her, but we never saw Eric cooking.

And we really should have. Kitty and Eric were really close up until Eric became a teenager, and there's no way she didn't at least bake with him when he was younger.

I wonder if Midge ever actually cooked. We saw her making Bob a lot of sandwiches, but that was during her days as a burgeoning feminist.
