One of my favorite moments for Eric and Donna is when Donna brings him a birthday cupcake in "Magic Bus". It's bitter-sweet because it shows how much she loves him but is also about to leave for college (of course, we know how that turned out, but still ... ).

I love that episode for them. That birthday cupcake was so sweet and even though how I wanted Donna to go to college, it was sweet when she could not get on the bus.

And because of what Donna gave up to be with him, Eric should've treated her way more respectfully in season 6. Their conflicts in that season should not have been about Eric's immaturity and lying and a celibacy-before-the-wedding story.

I agree, Donna gave up a lot of Eric and Eric should have seen that and respected that. It could not have been an easy choice or her.

Nope. And the characters didn't acknowledge it because the writers didn't.

But I really do like how supportive Donna is of Eric in the first few eps of season 6. He struggles so much with the decision to stay at home to help out the family, and Donna empathizes.

Donna was great in those episodes. The conversation they had when Eric had the realization he had to stay is one of my favorites. It was such an emotional scene for them.

Yeah, that's one of my favorite moments of acting for Topher on T7S. I just wish he'd gotten that kind of material throughout season 6.

Right, they should have continued to give him that kind of material because he knocked that scene out of the park.

He gives another great performance at the end of "The Promise Ring". When he lies back on the Vista Cruiser and bangs the hood with his fist, the look on his face gets to me every time.

That moment was great too. Topher was great at serious scenes.

I think Eric would maybe do that, but would need some help.
