Agreed, that would've been great to watch!

With his season-1 math and tech skills, he could've been an inventor, as was clearly one of his dreams. Or an astronaut -- if he worked on his coordination.

Kelso's Diary Entry: #12
MVP = Michael Kelso I should be quarterbacking the Green Bay Packers. Today Eric, Hyde Fez and I played two-on-two touch football, and it was awesome. Well, I was awesome. The teams were me and Eric against Hyde and Fez. So, basically, me against Hyde and Fez. I figured we had no chance, even with my rifle arm and game-winning looks. Eric can’t catch a pass to save his life. Well, his hands can’t. His face can. Man, that kid swells easy. The only way to get the ball back was to make them fumble. I didn’t even need to knock the ball out of Hyde’s hands. I just told him his stash fell out of his pocket, and he immediately dropped the ball and started looking for it. Hey, I’ll do anything to win. Football is a war, and I love my country. Go, Wisconsin! The game was down to its last play. Fourth down, and we still had to make it to the endzone to win. By this point, Eric was getting cranky and whining about not being able to breathe through his nose. I told him to go deep down the sideline, but when I snapped the ball, he just started slowly jogging. That’s when I just got lucky. Red came out of the house to yell at Eric for playing football with his Bart Starr autographed ball. I’ve never seen Eric run so fast. He was like a train with long pencil legs. I threw the ball as hard as I could, and just as Eric was turning around to see where Red was, he stuck his hands up in self-defense and made the catch! I could totally play in the NFL. But football players wear helmets, and I can’t keep a face like mine hidden in a helmet. Never doubt Kelso to think highly of himself.

Yeah, I sure wish I had some of that self esteem at times.

Kelso has enough self esteem for all of us.

He does try to share it with Fez -- or pump up Fez's self-esteem in season 5. so maybe he'd do that for other people he cared about. __________________

He should have done it a lot more often.

Unfortunately, Kelso was more interested in getting a laugh by insulting or screwing over his friends than in supporting them. He couldn't even drive Donna to California without trying to grope her while she slept.
His character could've been way more complex than he was written. So much potential wasted. __________________

Kelso seemed to learn best when he experiences the pain he's caused others. Because he's a narcissist, he can't understand -- or doesn't care about -- the harm his behavior causes. He cares only about what he wants when he wants it.
Perhaps if a girl he had no interest in or was physically repulsed by ignored his boundaries, he'd finally understand how he makes Jackie and Donna feel when he forces his touch on them. It's still terrible, though, that he would need that kind an experience to create self-awareness. __________________
