Hi everyone :wave:,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us :).

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Catia or Chelle a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I apologize for the double post but I did look at various :ff: boards and I must say, I am not a big fan of the colour green and I think the colour violett/purple would kinda clash with Rupert's orange hair :lol:
AND I really do not like the colours we currently have at the Colin Hanks board - sorry :oops:

if possible, yeah ... I mean, I am awful about this stuff, no idea how it would actually look and ... now that I look at it ... the fourth and last colour look like they are already in use for the board? :look:

They possibly are but it'd still look different. I think with those colours your colour scheme would mostly be brown (made from those top four colours)

Does he have any recent photoshoots you'd like us to use? The most recent i found were these from 2014 but they don't look like they're the nicest pictures. There looks like better ones from 2013

found the same ones yesterday, he's rather not busy with photoshoots lately
maybe you can find something here or maybe here

Also what about these? They could be usable, if there's nothing in the photo shoot section :look:

I don't really like those pics but if you can work with them, use them, as a Rupert fan, I cannot be too picky, I fear since there barely are pictures

as long as the board doesn't end up looking pretty in pink, or like the Colin Hanks or The O.C. boards, I should be fine (the O.C. board colours ... the "brightness" of the colours doesn't make me wanna stay there, I feel the urge to immediately leave)

I do like these blue tones, but to come back to my "complain" about the O.C. board, there probably should be some brownish colour to balance the brightness of these

We'd rather go with pictures you like ;) (& prefer to use photoshoots wherever possibly, not appearances, & I say he has photoshoots available). Thanks for the links to the television show pictures. We could possibly combine coloured pictures from here with these if you like them?

The Graphics Team makes the graphics & then Mel puts together the colours based on the colours asked for in this thread. So unless you ask for pink (or any other colour you don't want) that's not going to happen. These threads are for the posters to tell us what they'd like to see here & we try our best to work with those suggestions to find the best possible outcome. We don't make up our own colour schemes. I'd recommend instead of focusing on what you don't want or don't like, you think about what you would like to see here :)

I'm guessing from your suggestions that you might like a mix of browns & blues? We should be able to put together something using those colours you've already suggested. Alternatively perhaps you'd like a colour scheme such as this? I also found this which would be very soft & easy on the eyes

We have now finished making all the graphics and the Graphics Team are going to vote on a winner, so this thread will now be closed until the colours and graphic have been set up - then we will re-open it so you can tell us what you all think!
