MY COMMENTS: 3x08 – The Knight in the Grid – November 20th Cam to Booth at the beginning: Something like …. “Dr Brennan looked a little hurt when you asked me to come out here instead of her.” Ahhhhh Booth to Cam: Bones usually kneels next to the remains. Again, Ahhhhh …. How nice that Brennan gave Russ’s girlfriend the number of her friend, the cystic fibrosis doctor. But too creepy that she got the knees sent to her. <ugh> Booth: You are going to stay with a friend, check into a hotel Booth: Cam she goes nowhere alone Ah I loved that, then Sweets showed up telling them they had missed their session. And how protective Booth was of Bones. And then, Booth’s joke about art and a naked woman on the side of a van, and Sweet’s reaction!  Ah, and Brennan told Booth right off about Russ’s girlfriend. I love how she always tells Booth all the important stuff. Even though there was nothing he could do about it, she told him. “just a part of him” Booth and Brennan said over each other … Jack: You know Latin? Dude.  Cam: Be on the lookout for a face eating cannibal that uses a walkerBooth to Sweets: Not see, talk. On the telephone. Booth to Sweets: Did you just Star Wars us? Brennan: How does me saying no lead to bringing Sweets in? Brennan was still upset that Booth went to Sweets with the case file. LOVED that … Sweets: this is how we roll I am kinda liking this guy, now …. Brennan: you lost your father and you’re a corrupterToo hilarious! Booth arrests Russ Brennan. Poor poor Brennan. And poor poor Booth. But Booth took Russ to see the little girl, and took the handcuffs off so he could spend time with her. Brennan: Thank you Booth. Booth: This never happened. <blah blah blah> She kissed him on the cheek! Brennan: Thank you Booth And the LOOK on Booth’s face! Oh WOW! Beyond priceless. He was SO FREAKING taken aback, and he was so amazed! <thud> Then in the vault, when they discovered that Gormogon had been watching them all along … and the way Booth and Brennan whispered to one another.  Ooooooo I liked Brennan’s idea of transporting the skeleton to draw out Booth: Because I didn’t think of it! Then in the vault, as they are putting the skeleton together, she’s screaming out loud so that Gormogon can hear and he’s all shushing her, and she was over acting and he was all rolling his eyes! Booth: No you can’t drive And she was asking about being in the backseat, and he told her he was “training her”Then we get the motorcyclist and the bag of bomb and Booth knows instantly what’s happening. Booth: Easy, Get down. Bones: Woah why? <he tries to drive away, bag blows up, taxi rolls> Booth: Bones Bones, Don’t move. <tries to kick her door open, falls out his door> Booth: <reaching in to rescue her> Bones, watch your arm, over my shoulder okay <more> 123 <basically hugs her pulling her out, she has her arms around him, he drags her out.> Brennan: I’m okay <they drop seated on the sidewalk> Booth: Paramedics are on their way about them arguing about the vault and her blowing the cover, and her thinking it was his fault because she was sitting up front, and them arguing about her overacting and him shushing her<then they spot a tooth in her arm> Booth: Alright easy, I got it. <Booth pulls the tooth out> This was such an intense moment, the rescue, the way he protected her. He figures out that Gormogon was trying to kill them, and takes off to rescue the corrupter. Brennan: Wait wait I want to come! Booth: Stay right there And how sad, Booth is able to rescue the child, but Gormogon escapes. But I love how he had to make the decision to save the child. Gotta love Caroline. Brennan going to her to get Russ released. Caroline is so funny! This serial killer case is so creeping me out … Gormogon, an apprentice, pulling his own teeth out, etc. Booth: Why me Brennan: Obviously because you haven’t the fastest reflex <Then he tells her to pull the drawer, or something> They are just bickering SO MUCH this episode. Gotta love it. Mr Graves hisses and bites at Brennan. Then she starts yelling at him she knows what he did. Booth: <reassuring her> Alright Bones, it’s okay. Let’s go. Judge Watkins: Agent Booth. What are your thoughts? Booth: I got nothing to say, Judge. Brennan: Booth, please … Judge Watkins: I got a call from the Archbishop of DC 15 minutes ago. <Brennan looks at Booth> <talk about Russ, recommending against revoking parole> Caroline whaps Booth. <rambling about Booth’s side> Brennan: Thank you. Again. Booth: I didn’t do anything. Again. Booth to Russ: And you break your sister’s heart, I will Russ: Do something terrible. Yeah I got it End: Brennan reads to Haley Russ and Dad reunited in prison. Booth practicing his shots The promos: at Sweets’ elf ears, the “sniffing the bells” … and then Caroline points to mistletoe in Brennan’s office and pushes them together …. OH MY GOODNESS!Season 3 Wishlist 1) Forehead kiss. [Brennan check kiss in 3x08] 2) They are trapped together somewhere 3) Booth introducing Bones, arm around her shoulder, to his family as his 'partner' and thier responce IE 'riiight' 4) Booth needing a hug from Brennan - turning to her for support, in reference to how in this last season he said he'd hug her if he needed to or something. 5) Max telling him thank you for looking after his daughter (Not B/B directly but I can see what it could lead to!) 6) Booth standing up for Bones in front of her [we got the opposite, Brennan standing up for Booth in front of him in therapy in 3x04] 7) A KISS -- Okay this one is just in there coz it had to... [we got a hand kiss in 3x01] [cheek kiss in 3x08] 8) Max or someone .. anyone.. acknowledging Booth's feelings outloud 9) Brennan realizing the true extent of her feelings for Booth. [Booth’s making love talk at the end of 3x03] 10) Brennan breaking down, sobbing, in Booth's arms. 11) Both in a situation where they realize how much the other means to them. [kinda had that at the end of 3x01] 12) They share a slow dance. 13) More gift giving (Becca- Maybe Brennan giving Booth a gift. He gave her Jasper, she should give him something...like a flashy tie, or a female pig, or a new belt buckle) [3x06 end – brainy smurf] and More holiday episodes... Imagine-Dressing for Halloween. [3x05 he he he] 14) Brennan gets sick or injured and Booth takes care of her and vice versa. [Booth dragging her out of the wrecked taxi 3x08] 15) Brennan calls Booth by his first name just once to see what it sounds like. 16) The resolution to the note from "Aliens". 17) Brennan-Parker bonding. That would effect Booth's perception of her...he'd probably love her a little bit more. 18} A flashback or them talking about the first time they met (possibly in that session at the psy). 19) One to one briefing with Gordon about their feeling to each other 20) Stake out together [got one in 3x06] 21) Brennan needs to stay at Booth house or vice versa because Booth needs to protect her 22) A Hot Dream Sequence 23) Lots more Shirtless David 24) Booth watches Brennan sleep 25) Brennan having to go undercover by herself for some reason and Booth being over protective 26) Getting drunk together and start talking, things come out [Booth was drunk, leaned on her at the end of 3x02 // were drinking shots at the end of 3x06] 27) Them sleeping...but not sleeping together... Him gathering her in his arms and just laying with her 28) Them training together in some way. 29) Brennan will back him against the wall and close him in with her arms. __________________

I squealed and laughed all at the same time during the kiss scene in the promo for next week. The look on Caroline's face when they were leaning into kiss was HYSTERICAL.
Seriously, I was squealing AND laughing. I swear, only this show can do that to me  __________________

I respect everyone’s opinions to be disappointed, but if I’ve said it once, I’ll say it 1000 times … Both David and Emily are producers now, EVERYTHING David says about the show is ALWAYS about the characters, etc. This season has been SUCH a freaking shipper season … if we do get that kiss the promo sure makes it look like we’re getting, because Caroline pushed them under the mistletoe … WOW … I’m a happy camper. Because I know David and Emily are driven to make everything REAL between Booth and Brennan. So long as it’s not a dream, so long as it’s not some case cover up, etc … wow, I can be so happy! I mean, it’s a KISS and it’s a CHOICE! more catching up in a second .... __________________

thanks for the new thread. This was such an amazing episode. From the very begining, with Cam telling Booth that Bones was upset that he hadn't asked her to come, to the amazing kiss, to the car accident, to Booth helping out her brother. All of their interactions were pure love tonight!

this episode really was heavy on the b/b tension. which i think is great, i think there's a lot in the air to clear. especially when he keeps arresting her family members.
hopefully it'll explode and things will be said that need to be said.booth definitely feels guilty about doing his job, which is why he keeps fudging around the rules to appease brennan. he doesn't do it for russ by any means, it's all for bones. and she knows it too, i think. which is huge for her, she's not good at reading people, but she knows booth well enough to be entirely certain he did it for her. that's why she kissed him on the cheek after he insisted it was nothing. if it had been anyone else, bones would have taken the "i didn't do anything" at face value, she's literal like that. only with booth is she able to understand subtext. rambles, i know.  |
