I thought the finale itself was great. They mixed the romance and tension very well. The thing that ruined the finale was the ending. That was just nasty. I don't mind they didn't catch Pelant since he's a nice nemesis ( although it is a bit unrealistic that he can really see everything/hear everything/break into all places, etc ), but the ending was just mean. We invested in B/B for 8 years now, and we've never even seen the first time they slept together ( at the end of S6 ). I got over that, but now they are just being nasty. I get some couples need angst to stay interesting, but I don't think B/B is a couple that need angst. I think I speak for all the fans if I say I enjoy Bones A LOT more when they are actually happy together. I didn't mind the sexual tension in the early seasons ( I even loved that!, since they both had to grow to be ready for eachother ), but now it's just cheap to keep them apart, just to make fans come back. They dont realise that fans are only getting dissapointed by yet another obstacle.

I know the idea of a finale is a cliffhanger, BUT COME FREAKIN ON here! How long have seen this show? How many times have they left us hanging on a Booth/Bones being together forever? Remember the Season 2 finale when they were the ones left up front because Hodgins and Angela couldn't get married. Does that mean that Booth/Brennan will elope just to say under the grid of Pelant or whatever disaster might strike next? It's just getting a bit much to keep waiting, no matter what the cost is.

I know the truth will come out at some point, but to see both of them hurting so other lives can be saved? Pelant will probably still kill innocent lives anyway, so who wins in that one?

Really why couldn't Booth tell Bones the truth without Pelant find out if this is a forshowing that Bones will break up with Booth because she can't handle it I am done!!

I don't understand why Booth couldn't tell Brennan. It's not too far to think that Pelant would have their house on surveillance, but really? Brennan would totally go with it if she knew what the cause really was. Now she just has the idea that Booth doesn't see them together forever and trying to make her see that marriage is not a good idea

So YES, Brennan would go with it. In fact I think she would enjoy the ruse on Pelant even if she is a bit awkward with her pretending schemes though.

That part really irritated me that he could not somehow indicate to her what he was doing. Maybe after this long summer hiatus, Booth will indicate to her what is going on.

I know Pelant has a lot of control, but couldn't booth like put an explanation on paper? Slip a note into her bag and she read it before getting to work?

I think that's what Pelant did with their clock in the S7 finale, put a microphone/or camera, or whatever in it. And I'm sure Booth wouldn't want to take the risk, even though the chances are pretty small he'd know if Booth told her in the shower for example. But he has Christine to think about, aswell as Brennan, and the entire team, so I get his motives. I'd do the same in his steps I guess. I'd hate it, and I even hate to admit it, but I'd really do the same. Even if there was just a 0,1% chance of a bad guy killing 5 people because of my happiness...and knowing he knew my BF and kid aswell...
