^ Yeah! Katy will definitely be a proud mama at Maya's shows. Everybody would know that Katy is Maya's mom, because she wouldn't be able to stop gushing about her and her talent to everybody she talks to.

^ Right? I can imagine Maya trying to get Katy to tone it down a little, but proud mama!Katy would just tell her that she can't help it. She's her baby girl and she's so proud of her.

^ I think so too. I would look at her and I would know that she had had a tough life, but that she hadn't let the bumps break her. She had so many 'real' moments that made me connect with her.

^ Yes, indeed. It was obvious that she was a fighter and a survivor. She did whatever she had to, to keep her and Maya's heads above water.

^ That's true. Katy knew that Maya was counting on her to make sure she was happy and safe. I think that was great motivation for Katy to stay strong and keep going.

^ Exactly. Katy's life path would have gone in a completely different direction if she had only to worry about and take care of herself. I think Maya relying so heavily on Katy shifted Katy's focus from keeping herself on the right path, to making sure Maya could have everything she needed.
