I wasn't. I actually guessed it right before we found out. But I didn't really realize it before then. Shonda said she didn't even realize it until the other writers convinced her.

 Who knows? I remember that one in particular b/c she talked about it. Nothing's made in a vacuum. Actors, directors can alter a character. It happens. It's a collaborative process. __________________
