Mischa Barton - Board Recustomisation

Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

This is exciting! I wasn't expecting a re-customisation for a long time.

In terms of colours, I personally prefer boards that are lighter in tone.

The original Mischa board had a purple theme which still sticks in my mind, so it might be a nice throwback to go back to our original colour scheme.

I'll have a look through photos over the next day or so and post back. Looking forward to seeing all the other suggestions.

When you say you prefer light colours do you mean you want the entire customisation to be made up of soft and pale colours or simply that you do not want a dark customisation? We no longer do dark customisations so if that is the case then you do not have to worry about that

I recommend taking a look at the design seeds website to see if you can find any colour schemes that you like. I had a look to see what your previous customisation looked like and while it would never be exactly the same we could use those sorts of colours again if you want. If you wish to look at some colour schemes I did find this which is a bit different to what you had before in tone but still purples. That way it is still a throwback to what you had before while also being something new

? I feel it has a more warmer tone to it personally but that may just be me. This one is closer to what you had before with a little bit of brown which could be a nice touch to use in small places to break up the purples? It also could be a little bit like a combination of this customisation and your previous one to create the new one. Purple and turquoise can also go nicely together if you wanted to look at other colour combinations. There are other colour possibilities, those were just two which jumped out at me, especially compared to what you had before.

I like the first purple theme you posted. But I'm also very partial to the purple turquoise combo.

I actually used it on an old layout for my Mischa site.

. I would ask if you would prefer something more recent but at least going by your site it appears she has not really had any other than the one from 2015 (and your choice is prettier).

How about a combination of those two where we use the purples from the first and then add in the turquoise from the other colour scheme in small areas? ~~Providing others like those colours too.~~

Yeah, unfortunately photoshoots have been MIA for a while.

That sounds great to me. Hopefully everyone else likes the choices.

I LOVE the purple/turquoise combo. Love it.

I'm particularly partial to Sam's choice though, as I like natural photoshoots.

We have now finished making all the graphics and the Graphics Team are going to vote on a winner, so this thread will now be closed until the colours and graphic have been set up - then we will re-open it so you can tell us what you all think!
