It was really windy here last night. The howling made it hard for me to sleep. At least we didn't lose power.

Think I'll make up some soup for supper tonight. Maybe split pea with ham, since hubby has been requesting it.

May I have some of your soup, Chris? With crusty bread?

Sure! Shipping some over now.

there's a bit of snow on the ground this morning so I guess winter is really here. Should go dig out my winter boots.

Thanks, Chris.

It's very windy and rainy here. It's not very cold, though. I saw some spring flowers today. It's autumn.

I'm asking for a pannini press for Christmas. Hot sandwiches sound great for winter and not difficult for a non-cook to make

Its pouring out here for this week. Yesterday, I had foresight to bring my noise canceling headphones to work so I could listen to podcasts, however it turned out much more lucky cause the power went out around 10 am and didn't turn on the rest of the day, so I was able to quiet down this constant "power is off!" alarm that no one could turn off and a class came into my library for better window light... so much noise!! I was able to tune most of it out, but it was hard working in the dark with no internet or computer work at all!

Leanne - that sounds like a good idea. Sandwiches with warmed meat and melted cheese are especially yummy.

Julie - spring flowers? Woah, those bulbs are really messed up. I wonder if they'll flower again in the spring?

I was going to go to the store today, but I think I'll hold off since there's nothing I desperately need.

That's a great present, Leanne.

It's a good job you had those headphones.

I hope they will flower in the spring too.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Put a roast in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

Hi, everyone.

I have been watching skiing on tv this weekend. Now I am waiting for my sausage plait, chips and cauliflower cheese to cook.

I arrived at work today to see they decorated the windows, the library, and put up lights and christmas trees in the courtyard, and they were playing Christmas music when we arrived! No kids today so its a staff day plus we get lunch provided. All nice surprises for me today!

People and stores do seem to be decorating early this year. My neighbour has had her Christmas tree up for at least a week now. I prefer to wait until December.
