I saw that earlier and had the same type of reaction as you. Yep, pretty damn amazing.

Songs in the Key of Hope: The Derek Wheeler Story | The No Label Collective - I think I might actually have to buy this. I am so curious! Oh hey, looks like there's some samples at the site.

This is such a cool thing for them to do!

There is a blog attempting to showcase each location where DJH/DH episodes were filmed showing now and then photos to show what 25 years has done to those sites. Interesting stuff.

I'm loving that blog! Thanks for sharing!

So I linked to one of my favorite Degrassi parodys and this came up as a suggestion:

I don't know about you guys but I haven't seen it before.

Listening to Neil talk about his father made me realize that in all likelihood, both he and his father died very young. That's rough. That whole clip really made me feel sad, especially those final moments.

But, thanks for posting. I've never seen it either, and I'm assuming that's from that CTV documentary on the show that aired about 7 or 8 years ago.

Damn it. I was the last one in here. I'm going to share this anyway. Saw it tweeted by the all things official that is Degrassi: 17 covers of the Zit Remedy’s hit ‘Degrassi’ song, “Everybody Wants Something”. It is so hilarious how Pat, Stefan, and Neil all hated that song. It seems like all of the DTNG crowd enjoy performing their stuff and sometimes write it themselves. I wonder if 20 years from now we'll find out who secretly hated what.

Thanks for that link. I watched the first one of those covers- the metal one, which was hilarious. I started to watch the opera, but I haven't made it through just yet. I am going to try and watch them all, though.

I can understand them not liking the song. They were kids and let's face it, as much as we love it, the song is beyond cheesy. I'm sure if I was their age and I had to play and sing that thing over and over again like they did I'd be sick of it too.

Bumping this thread up because I spent the majority of my weekend, down a nostalgia rabbit hole (as someone upthread so cleverly put it) called Degrassi Jr High and Degrassi High. I'm kinda of obsessed all over again. I love old school Degrassi, especially one of my all time OTPs Joey and Caitlin.

I spent most of the time going through thier scenes, even though I really did love the show in it's entirety and I'm thinking of watching from the beginning starting tonight. I think it would be fun to do a rewatch and discuss the episodes. Anyone interested?

Some favorite characters of mine are: Caitlin, Joey, Snake, Melanie, Alexa, Lucy, and LD. Though I really did love almost everyone, even Kathleen sometimes. That poor girl had everything happen to her. And she did have some good moments, but mostly she aggravated me.

I even bought the Degrassi Kids DVD just now on Amazon. I was swayed by the adorable screencaps of Stacie as a child

Also I'm watching this special on my DJH season 1 DVD set called Degrassi Talks and they're singing and talking about drugs and it's sooooooooo CHEESY
