Temps really increased here today

Hi friends!!! All our snow got washed away from the warmer temps and rain last night, today and expecting more showers tomorrow.

With my stage three kidney disease, my kidney function is still good. Don't even need to consider dialysis yet. Might not ever. So, for now, won't need to be placed on a kidney transplant list. I know you were wondering, Leanne.

Back to my virtual choir tonight, but now we only have 2 more weeks of total lockdown here, and the plan is to be pretty much back to normal in June, so all good news, yesterday!

Karen that is such great news regarding your kidney disease. Stage three kidney disease is very scary sounding, but I'm glad it seems to be under control.

Claire I hope we are totally back to normal by June here, too, as Tommy and I have our small wedding planned for June 6th.

Yes it's over zoom, Leanne. I can't hear anyone but myself though, which makes it very hard.

I helped changed my car battery today, after watching a YouTube vid on how to do it. So my car is back in working order again! The car had lost all power so that the radio had lost its settings and I had to pay online to find out the code to make it work again. Still, its all working which is the main thing!

I also had to help my daughter with her mental health again today, I think that will be an on going process....

Oh, I had issues with our Jeep battery, too. The cold totally drained it, I think. Our was still under warranty, so I took it to the car dealership. It took them 4 hours to put it on a diagnostic system, figure out the batteries were bad, and get it warrantied out, but I got both batteries replaced for free. Who know the Jeep had 2 batteries?

I certainly didn't know that!

My car battery was recharged so many times, but it lost charge almost immediately so we stopped trying. I think it was the original battery though, so it was over 10 years old!

Where are you off to, this summer, Claire? I know a lot of people are now booking them, I still feel its too soon for us personally, maybe I am a skeptic, but its down to how people feel comfortable

I had my birthday yesterday! Jon made it really special, and I was really touched because I had been pretty down about it. Over the weekend, we visited these house and gardens, took a lovely walk on the greenery and admired the scenery and just had some quality time together. I'll post photos later. He thoroughly spoiled me too! My fave gift was actually these matching sloth socks he bought us, though

And a weird day at work, two more positive cases so school is shut again. Its only going to get worse when schools reopen, i think.

I'm sure it will be fine, Theresa. It's not like we're trying to go abroad or anything. We had a week away last summer, so I see no reason not to this year. By then everyone will have had the vaccine, and we'll be in a much better place.

I hope you had an awesome birthday yesterday!

All the kids will be tested going back next week, so we'll see what happens I suppose! Hopefully no problems.

I work at 4 schools and so far, no schools have closed and any cases of people at a school where I work having Covid, have been days I wasn't there so far!

I saw a group of about 6 deer grazing in an open field on my way to work. That's really rare to see more than one and just out with no where to hide. Amazing!
