Getting to 10,000 Posts #4213: Bunnies are Social Distancing & Chatting & Ready for Spring
 Banner by Sweet Embrace "  , DON'T  !"Intro: Welcome! This is the Getting to 10,000 Posts Thread, otherwise known as The Bunny Thread. The purpose of this thread is to discuss your current posting goal, whether it be getting to 10,000 posts or getting to 1,000 posts. It also serves as a place to celebrate your posting milestones every time you reached a certain posting goal. This thread is called The Bunny Thread because working towards a posting goal is like the Energizer Bunny who keeps going and going and going... All members of this thread are considered bunnies. In order to become a bunny, you have to have 30 or more posts on one of the "Getting to 10,000 Posts" threads, or 10 or more posts on three different "Getting to 10,000 Posts" threads. When you see that you are qualified to be a bunny, you can either contact the thread starter to add your name or you can contact one of the moderators of this board to add you. Rules: The bunnies are allowed to wander off topic to randomly chat with each other when not discussing their posting goals. However, please keep in mind that the main topic of this thread is still about reaching your posting goals. While you can randomly chat to get to know each other better, please remember that the topic of this thread is still about posting goals, so this is a topic that you should get back to on a regular basis when you have reached a certain milestone or you are about to reach another posting goal. As a bunny, please remember to follow these rules: 1. Just because this thread is about posting goals, it doesn't mean this thread is about posting anything to increase your post count. Please do not come to this thread to star post to increase your post count. Star posting refers to either repeatedly making posts in a row when no one else posted yet and making posts on a regular basis that says very little. For example, do not always post with just smilies. Once or twice is okay, but not all the time where when you make an appearance, it's always just one smilie, only smilies or you are just saying hi to people on the thread, one person for each post. If you have nothing much to say, then don't post. Don't come to the thread lurking, posting smilies or comments with one or two words here and there, waiting for a conversation that would interest you. Such posting tactics would be considered star posting, something that is not allowed on Fan Forum. 2. When a bunny thread is nearing 300 posts, anyone who would like to start the new thread should say so on the old one. When starting a new thread, simply quote the first post, copy it and paste it on the new thread. Remember to remove the quote brackets. When someone already volunteered to make the new thread and the old thread reaches or passes 300 posts before the new thread is being posted, please stop posting on the old thread. Do not reply to any posts and wait for the new thread to be up. If the thread already reached 300 posts and no one volunteered, do not post unless you are volunteering to make the new thread. When the thread has passed 300 posts, please do not continue your conversations or keep asking "Who will make the new thread?" if you do not plan to make the new thread. At this point, the only person who should be posting on the old thread should be the person volunteering, either to inform everyone s/he will be making the new thread or to post a link to the new thread if s/he already volunteered earlier. 3. When you are the one making the new thread, once the new thread is up, you are telling mods the old one can be closed. Do not open a new thread first, then go back to the old thread to quote and copy the first post. Even if your computer is slow in loading a new thread, do not start the new thread with posts like "To be edited later." Even if it is slow, everyone can wait. Make sure the first post is ready before submitting. If after submitting the new thread and you notice an error while the old thread is already closed so you can't copy and paste again, you can PM a mod to ask them to fix it. 4. Do not add anything to the first post of this thread without asking a mod and getting approval in advance. The only exception would be adding the name of a new bunny to The Energizer Bunnies list and updating the existing links. Other than that, if you have a suggestion for any changes or something to be added to the first post, please ask a mod by PM. We would review your idea and get back to you as soon as possible. 5. Due to the large number of people who regularly post on this thread, sometimes conflicts are unavoidable. However, please keep in mind that if you have a problem with a poster, do not confront them on this thread. Take it to PM. You can either talk to them directly by PM or you can PM a mod about the situation. Please remember that you would likely meet a lot of different people on this thread and disagreements could happen. Please remember to stay respectful and not to attack other posters or to criticize anyone openly on this thread. If you would like to report a situation on the board that made you feel uncomfortable or offended, please report it to a mod by quoting the posts or links to specific thread pages. Be as specific as you can so we can more accurately assess the situation. Since this thread goes by quickly, it would help us a lot if you pinpoint where exactly did problems arise. It would be easier and faster for us to get to it. We would very much appreciate your help and cooperation. Claire, remember when I had that co-worker that I couldn't get along with and had to eventually leave? The replacement for me had me call her cause it turns out she's also being abused by her too!
 and everything I described that happened to me, she was like "you are saying exactly what's been going on with me too". I was validating her and I don't even know her but it was like instant friendship against the enemy. She is resigning only after a few months. And she told me she would describe my former co-worker as a psychopath. So I'm glad it wasn't just really me, it really was her. And I wonder how much longer they can go through library technicians before they realize this woman has a big workplace bullying problem.__________________

Is there no way of reporting this woman, seeing as no one can work with her?
Of course it wasn't you, Leanne.  I feel bad you had to put up with it for so long.I'm well, thanks Carol. I went to the chiropractor today and I'm doing well according to him. My husband drove me there, as the roads were covered with snow and ice. How are you? __________________

Thank you for the new thread Carol, I forgot to check back, as I was subscribed to the previous thread. The title is good!
Just to show you guys how deep the snow is in our garden So our school was shut Monday and today and I am just waiting to hear if we are open tomorrow. We are expecting heavy snow tonight and tomorrow, even though the sun came out briefly. The roads look OK, as its melted a lot of it, but the school isn't deemed safe at the moment due to the ice and the fact that we all come from quite far. I'm enjoying working from home though, something most have been doing for months, but a luxury for me  __________________

Claire, well, now I am sure the principal has noticed she has gone through 3 library technicians in just 4 years so that's pretty obvious, she can't work well with 3 people!
 I just feel bad for the next LT that gets hired cause they don't know what they are getting into with the verbal and emotional abuse.Last night I felt surreal that I even had a conversation where someone else is going through what I went through so now I know it wasnt just me and her's personality clash. She does it with everyone  That's nice to be able to not go out in the snow, Theresa. Be cozy!!  __________________

Leanne Ohmigosh! Your former co-worker sounds horrible
I'm thankful you feel validated, but it is horrible that someone else had to be treated the same. Surely this can come to light and this person can be fired.Claire I'm doing well. We had some ice this morning, but no snow. Theresa That's a lot of snow  I'm actually jealous! I want snow this year. We may get some this week  __________________

I hope something can be done about her.Thanks for the picture, Theresa! I hope your time off is going well. Glad to hear it, Carol. I think the last time we had snow here was three years ago, and I couldn't go out in it because I'd torn my calf muscle. Still we had more snow that time than this. Just did my zoom choir. Nice to do instead of actually singing with everyone. __________________

 So happy to finally see a new tittle!!! We are expecting 2-6 inches of snow Wednesday to Friday. Temps in the 30's F for the high and 20's for low and teens with windchill factor. If we get that much, it will be the first snow that stuck to the ground in over a year!!! It will be in between my appointments so no problem there. We have a Jeep with 4 wheel drive and All weather tires.Hope every is staying warm and cozy and have their power/electricity!!!__________________

Claire Zoom choir? How cool! It's amazing the things we are able to do with technology now. I recorded a video for my online class this morning, then had 2 course observations via Zoom. And then later today I have a meeting for our department via Zoom, too.
Karen I sure hope we get snow here. We're expected to get a little. I'd like enough to sled in.It is very cold and drizzling right now, but temps are hovering about freezing. No snow, just drizzling freezing rain. __________________

We're cosy warm Karen despite it being below freezing all week, and the fact it keeps snowing!
There's not enough to sled in though.Yes Carol, a zoom choir is better than no choir. It's not the same though, as you can't hear anyone but yourself. If you try to sing together it sounds like a big mess! We had more snow overnight. Having more communications with my son's teachers, as he has to choose his options, and his dyslexia might be holding him back. __________________

It's frigidly cold here, but we still haven't had snow. However, by this weekend there is supposed to be a big front coming through. __________________

Hello friends!!! We got snow!!! Only 2 inches that stuck on the ground. Did make traveling to work easier for my husband!!! Still expecting another 6 inches this weekend and now saying don't know how long snow will stay on the ground!!! Of course, the neighbor kids are delighted with the snow!!! __________________

There is so much snow around my house. The neighbour's kids have been sledding, and Jon and I have pelted each other with snowballs! I did return to work though, as where I work, roads were clear, and most of it had disappeared, but now its half term, I have all of next week off! So excited - its been a long term, and definitely difficult, seeing as we had to work throughout.
So I have a few jobs here and there, catching up over video with my friend, and bits of art and craft I wish to do. Happy weekend all, is anyone celebrating Valentine's on Sunday? __________________
