Most schs have been shut here but not mine (a special school). I got very sick over christmas, so I know the likelihood of getting it again is very rare, but I still am trying to be as safe as I can.

I wish with this new variant, we’d just give it up and close schools and work from home too, it just seems like we are heading toward the inevitable disaster while waiting to get vaccinated!

My life is just go to work and then stay home, basically!

I got a haircut yesterday and got rid of all my dyed hair colour, now I’m naturally salt and pepper. I like that but the hairdresser ended up giving me a horrible haircut I’m my opinion, it’s all too short! But I don’t care too much, if salons have to close, it will be a good time to have to grow out without worrying about it getting too long again. But it sure doesn’t suit me!

I'm thankful I can work from home right now, but aggravated the board chose to pass the resolution telling us to move to face-to-face as soon as possible. We are one of the top hot spots in the nation right now

Thanks Claire. I got covid just before christmas, so I was pretty ill. I expected it happening with the reopening of schools, we have had so many cases, but we are now being tested weekly.

It was Jon's bday yesterday, as far as lockdown birthdays go, it was pretty nice, presents and I cooked a delicious steak dinner for us

Funny how some people get it really bad and die and others with Covid just get it and then its over with!

My mum got really sick and so did I, my dad not so much and Jon no symptoms at all. Definitely dangerous though, and I dont like how little some people care. Not aimed at anyone here, just the fact that some colleagues don't think its real etc

Yes definitely. We are all less of a risk now at least.

My best friend at work also had it and she is in 4 vulnerable groups so she really had trouble with it but when I got sick, she was very supportive, helping me, as she knew exactly what it was like, but everyone has different symptoms.

I just got out of the hospital. I had been sick for days, but anyway I found out I had stones in my gallbladder so they had to take it out. I'm home now and recovering well so far and amazingly I'm still very healthy despite this issue according to my labs and tests they ran on me while I was there. I'm glad I went because I could have gotten very sick if I didn't go when I did. I think the worst part was when they removed the drain that was so painful. I'm still in a bit pain and my back hurt somewhat sometimes, but otherwise it's not so bad actually.
