I guess they intended for the movie to be a backdoor pilot...but seems like the cast got wind of it today that the show wouldn't get picked up to series. Best of luck to Wes...seemed like it was a decent movie...I didn't watch the whole thing but FF'd through some parts that I DVR'd. It's too bad. Lauren Ambrose was actually very good in it, as was Wes.

Nice to see Joy supporting Wes...her friend, her ex, her bf, whatever he is to her these days. Can't keep up.

Now if only Joy were as active in auditioning for tv roles as she is on Instagram....[/not-so-bitter-bitter-fan] Ugh.

It really is. Even if they aren't dating anymore (who knows?) it's nice to see them interacting and supporting each other. They have a long history it seems so it's awesome that they are in each others lives.

I know She is so frakking talented and needs to get her butt out there, even if it's only guest roles for now.

He actually is really talented, from the little I've seen of him on screen. So is Joy. Can't believe two people with so much talent have such bad luck when it comes to pilots and tv shows. Granted, Joy's more established than Wes, but gosh not by that much anymore. Joy's career post-OTH has been really....slow. Dexter was such a disappointment. I really hope she's getting out there.

I know...even a guest starring role on Law & Order or one of those super played out shows that should just die already. Ugh. I wish she'd attend more events and get her name out there. Don't even know if she's invited to things like New York Fashion Week anymore...she's not going to land a role, if she's not putting herself out there and marketing herself. And honestly, her paychecks from OTH alone cannot sustain her current lifestyle much longer, especially with her divorce settlement and the hundreds of thousands I'm sure she invested into that restaurant and ultimately lost. Ugh. Joyyyyyyyyyy. Why must you be so frustrating. It'd be one thing if she was talent-less...but she has so much potential. After OTH, I thought her career would either completely wither away (if she stayed married) or she'd finally be free of OTH holding her back so she could go on and pursue bigger and better things. And now, even though she's free of that "family," her career is pretty much at a stand still. Joy's in her early 30s, what would be the prime for most actresses in Hollywood....Ugh. Even her dabbling in her music doesn't really leave me satisfied as a fan of hers. Love her voice, but her acting was what drew me to her in the first place.

ETA: It'd be SO utterly sad if OTH was the highlight of her career.

I didn't watch Deliverance Creek because it didn't seem like it'd be my cup of tea, but it was nice that Joy was so supportive of it and Wes, regardless of if they're dating or not.

I'm with you. I think it's nice that she's so active on Instagram, especially since there's nothing really else going on with her, but that's what's frustrating. I care more about her career than I do about whatever random pictures she's posting on Instagram today and it seems like we haven't gotten any news, career-wise, since Songbyrd. I hope she's at least auditioning. It doesn't seem like she is, but I hope she is!

Beside, I check it out and that show aren't my fav since i'm not fan of western or whatever it is..

^It's pretty common with a divorce settlement of some kind when you get divorced so I don't think it's anything that is surprising to anyone.

Anyway, Susan, totally agree. Ugh I feel so sad because Joy has so so much talent and I wish she'd put it into a project. She should just keep on auditioning and eventually she will land something and the more you land, the more you get noticed. So go for it, Joy!! I get that she's busy with life being life but I am absolutely sure that she could juggle it all because Joy is fabulous that way.

As much as I love music, I am ready for acting. YAYYY acting! LOL

Yes yes and yes! And I hope she aims big because as much as I love a cute movie from Hallmark, she could get something even more awesome, I'm sure! All about timing I guess.

Also, I have to mention again how sweet it is that Joy was doing some major promotion for DC! Adorable to see her supporting it and Wes/NS!
