 HAWAII FIVE-0 The Season 9 premiere, in its retelling of the original Hawaii Five-O’s pilot, will introduce Rochelle Aytes (Mistresses) as a CIA operative/old flame of McGarrett’s, who will recur as a nemesis for the team. Beyond that, showrunner Peter M. Lenkov says, viewers will meet Junior’s father as well as the training officer Tani famously decked back at the academy; Danny will take daughter Grace on a college campus tour; Eddie the Dog will get a bit of an “origin story”; and the Thanksgiving episode, written by Chi McBride, guest-stars Louis Gossett Jr. as Lou’s dad. Even further down the line, as first reported by TVLine, the midseason finale will channel the action-film team-up The Expendables and bring back “a lot of people that over the years have helped us.” BONUS SPOILER!: With Jerry now a part of the team, watch for an episode that flashes back to one of his Goonies-style adventures as a pre-teen conspiracy theorist! Question: Do you know if Adam’s case will be wrapped up quickly in Hawaii Five-0 Season 9? —Belle
Ausiello: It won’t be wrapped up that quickly, if only because Ian Anthony Dale was busy filming Salvation Season 2 and thus won’t physically return to Five-0 until the Nov. 2 episode. That being said, show boss Peter M. Showrunner Peter M. Lenkov used to exec-produce CSI: NY, so it’s no surprise that Eddie Cahill has been tapped to guest-star in the Nov. 2 episode as Carson, a pilot and old friend of McGarrett’s from his military days.
