According to the Nickelodeon team finally this year probably in autumn the new Avatar series will start.

The film won loads of impressive awards,such as five Golden Raspberry Awards including Worst Picture in 2011.
Cast: Noah Ringe,Nicola Pelt,Jackson Rathbon,Dev Patel.

That's interesting that you mentioned it won 5 ''Raspberry Awards''. Didn't know about that. What do you think critics didn't enjoy about the film?

Some of the actors came out as totally forced...the script was horrible also.The general quality of the photography was really low.

It could have been interested to watch but it turned out to be a massive flop.
I think only the characters who played Aang and Katara were sufficient enough.
Sokka was HORRIBLE. The actor is the same that played in Twilight one of the vampires I read.
Zuko too. I have nothing against Dev Patel I think he is seriously talented I've been watching him since he was working on Skins. And he completely blew me off with Slumdog Millionaire. But I don't know,he wasn't really into Zuko.Probably due to the lack of good writing I presume he couldn't really connect with his character.
And the writing is still the biggest problem.I think it would have been better having at least two films for season.It is diffucult trying to fit over 20 episodes in two hours. Even though the episodes are short.
So the whole film felt terribly rushed and poor described. In the anime you could see the atmosphere of that world everywhere.In the film? Not really.
It was a bit random.
Also I think they should have used better special effect. I mean yeah it's easier to draw fire/water/air balls I can see it.But well if you decide to do such a film at least have a good special effect team,or don't do it at all.

I didn't think the film was that bad on the whole, but I agree that there were still a lot of issues, the writing being one of the biggest ones. And, yeah, that atmosphere definitely felt off. In terms of the effects, I thought the only part they were bad at was with earthbending. The fighting with the earthbenders seemed really slow and took away from any excitement there, but the other elements weren't too bad.

I think I resented it a lot because I have watched the film the day after I have finished the series,so I had the wonderful cartoon still fresh in my memory. And I was so ready to watch an excellent film about it :lol: My jaw dropped because of the disappointment. I was so excited about it :lol:

Ooh, yeah, I can definitely see how that would make it seem worse. I'd finished the series about a year and a half before the film came out, giving me plenty of time to prepare myself for the worst, so maybe that's why I didn't find it a complete disaster. :lol: But, agreed, it definitely doesn't compare to the series.

As for which gifs to put in the OP, I like the one from The Winter Solstice Pt. 2, the one of Katara in The Waterbending Master, the Iroh/Zuko one from The Siege of the North Pt. 1, Zuko firebending in Sozin's Comet pt. 3, and maybe one of Toph from The Blind Bandit, but all of them are really good, so whichever ones are chosen doesn't really matter to me. :)
