It's a wonderful show on Nickelodeon with anime influences, and it appeals to more than the TV-Y7 demographic. This show has it all: action, humor, a bit of romance, and we learn all sorts of interesting things! | Aww thanks! I don't think the strike affects cartoons as well. Allison was just askingg if Hestia will have more time for Avatar now that the strike has affected Ugly Betty (i'm guessing  ) And I just wrote in my 2 cents on the strike  __________________ R.I.P. I guess I shouldn't watch Avatar, and then immediately aftrewards Ugly Betty online. Too much excitement for the day and I end up sticking with the last thing I watched. Kinda off topic I know, but over in my ship thread in UB, I was gushing about how awesome the scenes have been and how I wish we could have signatures so I can show off UB stuff as well as my Avatar stuff. One of the gals over there almost tempted me into changing my icon to Ugly Betty (oh the agony!) I almost thought about doing it too, but I remembered my promise to this little thread and I will continue displaying Avatar icons no matter how fluffy and amazing and soooo cute the scenes my UB couple share... *sob* (Torn between two different fandoms – who knew it would be so agonizing? ...Metaphorically.) You know, if I have to be honest, the fact that I spoiled myself for the past few episodes (up to The Puppetmaster) seems to be a big factor in my lack of posting. I remember how excited I was after watching The Avatar and The Firelord, The Runaway, and The Puppetmaster. I also remember how I immediately thought of a ton of things I wanted to say about the episodes, for example, The Puppetmaster: there were some intriguing parallels between Hama (sp?) and Jet, only taken to more of an extreme. I also loved the gorgeous colors in the scenery (the fire flowers were beautiful). All the the callbacks to earlier episodes were nice to see... man, so many other things that, in retrospect, I should've probably written down.  Not wanting to spoil you girls I refrained from talking about the episodes and trusted myself to remember when they aired in the US. Turns out I have a crummy memory. Booo...  In any case, I will try my best to write down my thoughts and do my silly. long rambley review for next week's episode (Which I haven't watched, yet! I'm staying spoiler free. Please don't spoil me! ) Hopefully it's a good one next week. (Is it episode 9 or 10?)Oh, and don't quote me on this, but I think most of the animation is probably finished and ready to be shown, so maybe they aren't exactly affected by the writer's strike. Maybe they have different writers unions... not sure but that's what I kinda think.  Quote:
