Not much to report on my end. Work. Had to clean up a pile of crap yesterday. Literally. Someone crapped in the floor in the public restrooms at work. That was ... odd and gross. Today had to be snake wrangler. Someone reported a snake at the lake with fishing line tied around it, so I went with my snake hook and my scissors and cut it free. Strange week. And my weekend is only just beginning!

You always know how to keep busy, don't you, Kimmie?

Sometimes I start to worry that you take on too much, but then you're getting pretty good at following your body's warning signs.

And, you know, you're a grown woman who's entitled to do what she wants.

So I came back last night but, as anticipated, it was late and I was exhausted.

I slept in like the dickens today as well and, when I woke up, had some stuff to get through.

So here I am now.

And I have to go into work tomorrow morning.

Bleh.

The vacation was way too short.

I hope you got as good of a night's sleep as I did last night. Slept a full night again.

I have been really good about taking breaks, and keeping my days balanced, I'm getting better even as time goes by.

Went to Walmart and grocery shopping-we were hungry, so we bought a ton of deli stuff.

There was shopping, and lots of it.

And then there were workshops and talks.

Oh, and restaurant meals, too, I suppose.

It was good. Just, you know, not very eventful on the whole.

I still can't get over how much cheaper everything is (price-wise, I mean) in the States.

I'm afraid I overspent again, even though I obviously didn't really overspend since I really just spent the money I brought with me.

And, hey, I'm sure you'll eat everything you got, if you haven't already.

So it's totally worth it. Come on, now.

What kind of clothes did you get? Summer, fall, winter?

Yeah, it's just most of it was junk food, not real food.

Kev's birthday is Saturday, so we got his cards and gifts yesterday.

I definitely got summer clothes. That's where the sales were, you know.

I got, like, six skirts, six dresses, four tops, two pairs of sandals, two cardigans and some slippers because mine were falling apart.

I'm been doing my very own little fashion show all week.

And, hey, food is food.

Sometimes you have to by junk food so that the craving for it doesn't eat at you.

I'm not much for beating ourselves up over that.

It happens. That's all.

So what are you doing for Kevin's birthday this year?

Yeah, you're right. We weren't too terribly upset. Just kind of surprised when we unpacked the sacks.

I doubt we'll do much. Kev isn't one for celebrations. Well, none of us are for birthdays. I got him a t-shirt and shorts, and I'll give him those and his card.

He's helping me move my bed tonight, into the bedroom, just so I can do some cleaning in here.

Mom promised him freedom for Friday and Saturday. So everything we want done, will be tonight. This evening.

It's a pretty basic fashion show.

Macy's, JC Penney and Kohl's sponsored fashion show.

With a couple of things from Christopher & Banks, come to think of it.

Nothing fancy.

I think I still have some leftover from when I was a kid and we never got new clothes, just hand-me-downs.

Which, really, makes us sound poorer than we were. And I honestly don't think it bothered my brother in the least.

For reasons both known and unknown to me, it just always bothered me.

So now I have this thing where parading in new clothes, even though they're nothing out of this world, always gives me a little thrill.

And I remember that Kevin isn't one for celebrations, and boy do I agree with him on that front.

I just remembered that, last year, you got Subway sandwiches for him.

So I was wondering if there were plans of that sort.
