This movie wasn't very good, but I was still extremley entertained.

Many of the plotlines were underdeveloped, and overall there were just too many of them. Peter's "black suit" storyline wound up being silly. They could have done a lot more with it than make him dance in the streets and act like an obnoxious idiot. I thought he was an obnoxious idiot before he was possessed, so it didn't really change very much in my eyes. I really did not like Peter in this movie at all, and I think they messed that up. Peter is supposed to be a lovable character, but in my case, I was rooting for Harry to kill him. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to root for the hero's girlfriend to be with his 'evil' best friend, but oh well. I did anyway. I think James and Kirsten have A LOT more chemistry than T/K, and I actually found the MJ/Peter scenes pretty dreadful to watch.

Harry/James saved the movie for me. Every scene he was in was an enjoyable one, no matter what was happening. The final action scene where him and Spidey team up was a lot of fun to watch. Oh, and Topher Grace was awesome for the few minutes of screentime he actually had. I don't read the comics, so I don't know how prevalent a character Venom is, but personally I would have liked to see more of him.

I was actually disappointed by Topher in the end..he was great as the witty jerk and Venom was alright but at the end his death just seemed pathetic.

I'm glad Peter forgave his uncle's killer..the scene was kinda..weak though.

best frickin scene in the entire movie! i swear, my friends and i walk around everywhere singing bee-gees music and doing that little peter strut.

I enjoyed the movie way more than I expected to once I heard the mixed reviews. I didn't get a chance to see it until the Monday after its opening weekend, and everyone around me was talking about it, some in a positive way, others in a negative way.

I loved most of the film. It did have quite a few "WTF?" moments that threw me out of it, though, that the earlier films didn't have. The biggest cringe worthy moment for me was the reporter and newscaster during the battle royale. Didn't need either of them in there to tell the audience that it was serious doom and gloom. The fight itself did that really well. I didn't like how it interrupted the emotional moments of Peter reaching towards MJ as he thinks he's going to die, and Harry coming to help Peter.

Speaking of Harry, he's the character I loved most in this movie. I loved him so much that he made the movie for me. He's the one I felt the most for, and when he showed up at the end and saved Peter....that was my favorite moment in the film. The Peter/Harry enemies/friendship storyline was my favorite part about this one. I also enjoyed the Peter/MJ/Harry dynamic, too.

Harry and MJ started dating after graduating from high school in Spider-man. They were on the rocks when Norman insulted MJ after sort of figuring out Peter Parker was Spider-man... and Harry didn't do much to defend her.

If I remember correctly, the Harry and Mary Jane relationship was kaput when Harry saw MJ and Peter holding hands. In the second film, MJ was actually engaged to (and almost married) John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson's son.

Actually they were caught holding hands in the first its when aunt may is in the hospital & mj comes to see how she is then mj starts talking about how she is inlove with someone else & how she has never seen his face & then peter starts talking about how he is "the" unofficial photographer for spidey & yayayata then they start holding hands cuz MJ is so touched by what peter says & then we see harry walk in with flowers in his hand.

Edit: k just totally ingore what i said i thought you said they were caught holding hands in the 2nd
