I love the movies and the show.
For me, the first movie was obviously the best but I also really looked movie 4. Movie 2 was good. the third one was the worst imo. Just a bit of a boring plot and annoying characters. But I still enjoyed it. I think I would put the tv series right below movie 4. I enjoyed those a lot even if it was a different feel. Not sure how Ill feel about series 3 though with a whole new cast and plot. |

The first Scream will always be the superior one
Cannot beat that epic scene between Neve, Skeet and Matthew when they're revealed as the killers. One of the top movie scenes of all time. I watched the first episode of the SCREAM TV series the other day... Really didn't like it Not a fan of the cast. __________________

I agree Gwen. I loved the first the most, and I think it's the most iconic of the three, now 4 films.

Overall I did like the 4th but it started out kind of cheesy, almost like it was parodying the parodies? If that makes sense.

Totally agree and that's why it bugged me. There's this ridiculous scene with Hayden Pattiniere (can't spell her last name ) where she's stood there naming all of these Horror movies on the phone to the "killer" and I felt as if I was watching that parody series called 'Scary Movie', it was just pathetic imo.
Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson nailed the tension of the first movie and even parts of the second, as they kept you guessing. The fourth one, well it didn't help that I didn't like the cast. __________________

Yeah it's like they were paying homage to the parodies and then saying, okay parody this!

Wow I just looked it up on imdb and apparently, Kevin Williamson wrote the script? Scream 4 seemed way too ridiculous to have the same writer as 1 + 2.

The original trilogy are now classics in their own right.
