I can imagine. It's currently not on my Netflix but I have seen it there before. Hopefully it will get re-added when it's horror/halloween season time!

I'd recommend Little White Lies, a French film starring Marion Cotillard and Jean Dujardin. A little slow paced

but it has a lovely friendship dynamic

Beautiful setting

and the acting is great, plus there's a surprisingly dramatic/sad subplot involving Jean Dujardin's character. Definitely recommend it

Has anyone seen a Japanese film called Destruction Babies

Warning ~ it's really violent. Basically, a trio of delinquents out on the town causing chaos.

Kamome Diner/Kamome Shokudō is nice, light watch. Nothing much happens and it's not a super deep and artistic movie either, but if you're in the mood for an endearing friendship story with a female-heavy cast, you might like it. A student of mine recommended it to me and I did not regret giving it a go. Here is the plot for wikipedia:

Sachie is a Japanese woman living alone in Helsinki, who is trying single-handedly to establish a new cafe serving Japanese-style food. However, it has no customers. Eventually, a young Finnish anime enthusiast comes for coffee and becomes the cafe's first regular, though as her first customer he gets to eat and drink there for free.

Midori is a Japanese woman who has just arrived in Finland for an indefinite time and without any definite plans. She and Sachie happen to meet in a bookstore and she starts to help out in the cafe. Later, Masako, another Japanese woman on her own, turns up. Her baggage has been lost by an airline, and before long she too starts to work in the cafe. Over the course of the film, the cafe gradually gains more customers, and the Japanese women make more friends with the local people.

Axolotl Overkill is a movie i'd strongly recommend, it's kind of weird and surreal in spots, but it's engaging and interesting throughout.

A beautiful film with a lot of unexpected death. It really stresses the complexity of friendship.
