^^^ I agree. I guess they figured since movie one that Dom/Letty were meant to be, so Dom was supposed to move on, then when Letty ended up being alive, well you know.

I think they made a huge mistake by bringing Letty back (and I'm shocked to be saying this, because I really liked her in the 4th one) because they had to force Dom out of a content relationship with Elena and I had so many issues with that.

The whole amnesia plot felt very contrived and cliche.

I know what you mean, but I also think they were thinking of how to expand on the series, so that's another plot they could use in other films.

That will be interesting actually. Because of Paul's death he couldn't be in more films so in reply to that Mia was not seen. So to bring her back into the fold will be intriguing.

i really miss Gisele and Han, and Brian too, but at least he got to fade into the sunset with his family. (rest in peace, Paul ) i really wish they would have ended the FF series at 7, with Brian driving away into the sunset. 7 is a number of closure and completion. FF8 was just ridiculous with that submarine and everything else, ugh. i'm pretty much done with the series, leaving my collection at 1, 2, 4-7, not ever watching 3, 8, or any others again, tbh. i like the 7 ending of Brian leaving with his family, and Dom and company nicely retired.

That that I didn't like 8, it was good, but it seems like they're more about $$ now.

the only part i liked about FF8 was that crazzyyy race in Cuba at the beginning of the movie, insane! the rest of the movie was just over the top ridiculous, too much testosterone and egos, nothing to hold my continued interest sadly. the lady cop/ex-love interest death was just too much for me. *bowing out of FF*

The last F&F movie I watched all the way through was the 6th one. I watched parts of the 7th, but I couldn't really fathom how the next ones would work without Paul Walker and my heart broke watching Gisele & Han die, they were such a power couple

Also, I was disappointed with how the writers just cut off Dom and Elena's romance in 6 just to indulge in the nostalgia of Letty.
