This is one of m favourite Batman films, and it's because of Heath Ledger's Joker more than Christian Bale as Batman.

BB was my least favourite of the trilogy actually! I did love the backstory and everything but I liked the dynamic of the villains etc in TDK and TDKR a little more!

I remember feeling really weird about the change of tone in TDK and how they reduced Bruce's role. I loved Heath, he was so appropriately weird and charismatic, but I wasn't keen on a re-casting of Rachel.
Having said that, I now like Maggie in the second one, because she works well with Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent  The reason I prefer Batman Begins is because I love the training process that Bruce goes through with Liam Neeson's character, and the eventual twist that he turns out to be the villain  __________________

I liked Maggie in the role better than Katie.
They recast Katie because her celebrity at the time with Cruise was overshadowing the film. At least that was the rumour at the time. How much credibility there is in that I don't know but I do recall that the media was all about "Tomkat" for quite a while. |

  That was the rumor but according to this article, Christopher Nolan wanted her to return for TDK and was disappointed to have to replace her:Why Katie Holmes says she walked away from the Batman movies - Business Insider Katie doesn't specify why she left, but presumably it was for another role. __________________
