Queen Appreciation #7 - “The whole point of Queen was to be original.”
Queen Appreciation Thread  Queen are a British rock band formed in 1970. Queen consisted of vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon and drummer Roger Taylor. The band became popular with audiences via their hit singles, live performances, originality and showmanship, being voted the greatest British band of all time in a national BBC poll. Their 1985 Live Aid performance was voted the best live rock performance of all time in an industry poll. According to the BBC, Queen have sold more than 300 million albums as of 2009. I’m back and was not impressed. They were not as good as the last band I saw. This guy had the look and some of the moves, but his voice wasn’t good. He wasn’t very good at getting the audience involved.

That’s okay. I still enjoyed the getaway.
There was a kid in the same row as me. Probably eleven. He was into it. Love to see young people into older music. __________________

Sorry the show wasn't as enjoyable as you wanted Melis, for a good Queen cover band, I think a necessity is how well their 'Freddie' channels the crowd and builds up the energy.
 I'm glad there was at least one young person enjoying the better era of music though. __________________

Oh yeah, I agree with you. He wasn't very good at getting the crowd going. He'd ask people to get their butt up, but most people just looked at him like he was crazy.
At first I thought that kid was just there because his mom made him, but he seemed to like it. __________________

Yeah, I have to say I wasn't much older than that kid when I got into Queen. So I relate to his wanting to be there.
