Definitely do

I can understand wanting to ease off from using the Daleks, but Doctor Who has one of the greatest Rogues Gallery of Villains/Monsters ever created.

No Daleks? Fine. But what about the:

Cybermen
Silurians
Sea Devils
Macra
Yeti
Autons
Zygons
The Rani
The Monk
Ice Warriors
The Destroyer (possibly the greatest 'one-off' monster)
Ogrons

So much potential to plunder.

I didn't watch Classic Who but I'm hearing a lot of requests wanting The Rani back for New Who.

I would love to see The Rani back (Before her passing, Kate O'Mara gave her blessing for Big Finish to recast the role, as she was due to reprise her role of The Rani). The thing is. back when The Rani was created, there was no mention of Timelords/Ladies changing gender. The Rani was created to show that not all Timelords were men. She was every bit as intelligent as The Doctor & The Master, she just happened to be the female of the species. It could be argued, what would the point be in bringing her back now?

Back in 2014, for the Big Finish story, The Rani Elite. Knowing that she wouldn't be well enough to record her story (given that she died also in 2014, she might have know she wouldn't be alive to record it), she gave Big Finish her blessing to recast the role so that The Rani could live on. They cast Siobhán Redmond, who has so far, only made the one story.

I agree with you 100%. Unlike The Doctor, The Rani is a villain, and unlike Missy, The Rani is sane. Who to cast? Maxine Peake is one of my top choices for the Doctor, so could I also suggest her for The Rani?

Yeah, i've just made my mind up. If I can't have Maxine Peake as The Doctor, then I want her cast as The Rani. She would, I believe the kids today say: "slay it."

Well the Orgrons have only been seen tied to the Daleks. The Yeti I would be interesting to see back, but they are tied the Great Intelegents so we will like have to have it back some how. I would like to see the Draconian come back.
Though I wouldn’t mind seeing Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax with the Doctor encountering the Rutans.

I would love to see Maxine Peake as the Rani.

Wonder what we'll get next season.

British actress, very talented, probably most famously played Twinkle in Victoria Woods 'Dinnerladies'.

In the below clip, she is asked if she would like to play the Doctor, her response is... interesting, take a look:

Reading between the lines, I think she was smart enough to foresee the inevitable headache, and gave a diplomatic response.
