it was unacceptable yes, but Aslaug is not without blame. She cheated on him, practically cursed him and was plotting against him even before this last confrontation.

don't mind me, I'm very very partial to Ragnar and btw, a long time has passed, why didn't he heal, what is wrong with him?

Hum Ragnar also cheated on her with Kwenthrith so in that they are equals lol.
He was also treating her badly since a while that is why Aslaug resents him and wants power, now more than ever.

Ragnar was badly injured, I guess he was comatose for years? He still hasn't recovered.

He didn't use to treat her bad, not till she cheated on him. Not to mention she knew very well who she was marrying, she was the one who encouraged him to cheat on his first wife, with her.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Aslaug in her own right. Although not a shield maiden, she is a very strong woman and has a heart too, although I'm not sure where she'd put that body part of hers at the moment.

The kids have grown a lot, so Ragnar must've been unwell for at least 1-2 years. He had internal injuries, but I don't see how it makes sense that it still hurts him. I hope he didn't aggravate it again while digging that grave, though it looked like he did.
