I guess, for me, I know that a reboot isn't the original, and I wouldn't expect any of the originals to appear. It would take away from the reboot for me, for them to appear.

I wouldn't expect a replica. It's telling different stories. All new stories, based on the mythology of the Slayer. It wouldn't be retelling Buffy. I would think they would tell either the stories pre-dating Buffy, or post Buffy.

I wouldn't expect Spike to be in it.

The Charmed reboot is great and the original was too, and they’re different enough for me not to question the characters being separate entities from their counterparts so on that basis, another Spike is fine for me

I would like a prequel of Buffy where she was younger and hunted vampires in L.A.
And for that they can sure cast young actors who look like the young version of the adult actors.
