I have finally managed to overcome my nerves and started writing my S8 fic. have the first ep finished. but where can I post it? I know nothing about Live Journals and such. how to get one, how it works, the rating system etc. can somebody guide me?

Im not sure. it started as Spuffy. then it grew and expanded into more of a gen. fic. But Spuffy is still the main focus.

I am totally illiterate about these things. could you please explain a little to me about how a LJ-community works? rules, how to post and link, etc?

You can post your fic on Spuffy Realm (I think it's one of the most popular Spuffy fanfiction archives) and on LJ.

If you decided to post on LJ too, you create an account from the main page

and then join some Spuffy communities, f.ex.

I love Nautibitz's fanfiction. She was one of the first authors I ever read when I intially began reading fanfiction. Something about her use of comedy, romance, and drama combines to create a original piece of creativity. So much so, that she is one of the only authors who I find that I can actually go back and reread her fanfiction. I personally think shades of her work is reminiscent of fiction authors like Jennifer Crusie and Carly Phillips.

That being said, I look forward to it being completed so I can read it, because I loved 'Hearts Don't Lie.'

BTW,
I also tried to edit the 1st post in terms of deleting/or/editing links that don't work anymore.

callace, I find it hard to read fic that's in a script-like format. Any particular reason why you've decided to write it like that?

I agree, although I did read it, I'm usually not a fan of script-fic and find it difficult to involve myself in the story.

I chose to script it because the idea was to write next season. a direct contiuation of the series. Since Buffy is televised, I felt that script was the natural genre to put it in.
